addenum: 1.09? theres going to be a 1.09?
That's what they're calling the beta 1.1.
Kitkun
Did you already declare war on that AI? Maybe the two AIs allied again.
I've also seen quite a few comments questioning the Carrier capital ship's role now that carrier cruisers start with as many or more squadrons at far less cost. I don't think players need worry too much, as their weapons, abilities, and increased squadron capacity and overall power scaling as they level up should more than offset their relatively high price.
Sounds like a no to me.
To quote from another installation trouble thread:
@Grassy15, Just go to "www.impulsedriven.com", download and install stardock's new distribution system IMPULSE, register your CD-Key and download the entire game to your PC. the Monk
I'd think it would work for you, if you're using the disk version..
ill try him prechate it bud....
What?
Start by getting the Forge Tools from the downloads tab. That should have most of the easy to edit .entity files in txt format, if I remember correctly.
Careful you don't lag to death. ;p Single player only, I think: Oh yeah, pressing the + and - keys changes the update rate of the game. (For example, at normal speed, pressing + will double the speed of the entire game. Very useful early on. I sometimes forget it's on and play the entire game that way. :p
Channeled means it uses up AM at a rate and lasting until all AM is depleted rather than using up a big chunk of AM and then lasting for a fixed duration.
Interesting. Will it have a minimum AM requirement? About how long will it last then?
I thought the "Salvage" was what you gleened after battle from destroyed enemies...
Yeah. The only ship able to take another ship in the unmodded game is the Revelation Battlecruiser. Salvage gives you back apart of ships/structures when you scuttle them. Vasari have some upgrades so they get more back and gain some from destroying enemies. The earlier posters had it right.
Where'd you buy it from? Also, make sure the disc is not damaged or dirty.
how to I get my other ships to JOIN the fleet?
I just select the old fleet and the new ships together and create a new fleet. Most ships seem to have auto join fleet at destination enabled by default.
by that i mean, since the file is located in the game main instalation of the game and if affected would affect all of the game, would it be possible to make it as an mod that can be activated so it would be a simple matter of turning on and off in the mod list. instead of changing values in the file?
Ah. Should be. Make the changes, then save it into the mod directory as another mod. Should look something like Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\Mod Name\GameInfo\gameplay.cons
Repulsion is going to become a "channeled" effect
Uhm... what exactly does that mean?
Search on Microsoft.com.
Thanks, would it be possible to make it as a separate mod file instead of complete in game change?
Sorry, what are you looking for?
Yarlen, I went on impulse to download v1.1 beta, but I can't find it. Where is it and how many people are currently signed up for the beta (I don't want to wait 2 hours for enough people to show up for a game). Thanks
Last I heard, it wasn't coming out til mid-July.
It's still an offline product, and no one is forcing you to get the latest updates. In fact, you wouldnt have anything to complain about if they just stopped supporting their game with patches at all, so shut ur mouth.
More awesome. You can never have enough awesome.
Since I don't like explaining things, and I don't play Vasari much, I say try them yourself. First-hand experience is best.
Are your video drivers up to date?
They're all useful in certain situations. Some more so than others, but none are bad enough to completely remove.
One question though, why the hell do the Advent look like humans? I really wish they looked completely different like stardock/ironclad did with the Vasari.
For the same reasons the Altarians of GalCiv do.
Because I can't resist: Welcome to the internet, where the men are men, the women are men, and the little girls are FBI.
You know the options for changing the speeds that are already built into the game? Those values can be found in the gameplay.constants file under the gameinfo folder. Just search for buildSpeedData-Slow.
I don't think it's the developers problem. They didn't make the mod, after all.
