The title says it all. I get some made stuttering/fps drops when I get that far into a game of Rebellion. I don't quite understand why, as i believe my hardware should be sufficient to handle it. Whatup everyone I was simply wondering what the difference is between Trinity and Rebellion BEYOND the "awe" features, such as rebellion factions and new ships. Any new planets? Any new game features? Any new AI improvements? Anything new beyond new ships and bling? (not that that isn't enough ;D I simply can't find a comprehensive list of differences)
How the hell do you counter a small fleet that refuses to fight, and just keeps running through your space?
I dont understand what you mean :P However what I was thinking was a ability that allowed you to engage Jump from anywhere in a Gravity Well to any other Gravity Well. Or if thats not possible, allow phase jumping from anywhere in a gravity well (research)
Been toy'ing with alot of stuff now, and I really love it. Now I wonder, is there a way to make a Jump Drive ability. I'll leave the question wide open, any and all solutions are welcome.

Finally I made it work without dumping. I used the wrong String copy (I used the one from the normal game, and not Entrenchement)
Okay I found out that you need to enter the name of the ability in the file: Entity.manifest Now thats working, however now I get a new error: Failed to find StringID: 'IDS_GameStat_CreditsLostToStarBaseUpgradePurchase'. NOTE: Any following StringID failures will be supressed. Any suggestions?

Alright so I'm getting the hang of this "modding" if we can call what I'm doing that, thanks to some very helpful people. However now I have moved on to making new abilities. My first try was to make a MissileBarrage equivelant, actually the same, only difference would be that instead of missiles, it would fire that ghostly looking missiles that the Advent Starbase uses as its top weapon upgrade. Since only 2 of the weapons on the Advent Starbase are visible I wanted to change the last one so I could actually see it. However it is proving tricky. What I did was to copy the effect of the LongRange frigate (advent) and copied it into the Laser weapon effect in the Advent Starbase. Alright i have searched, and I have tried everything with convertdata thingy. It doesn't work. Whenever I try to open it, it closes down instantly. Trying to go: Run > cmd > write in the directary of the covertdata doesn't work either. How the hell do I do this?
Alright, got some questions that are listed below: Can someone explain how the whole weapon battery thing works? and is the dmg listed in the ship tooltip the amount of dmg each battery does? Would like to get this is detail How can I modify different abilities? Like making shield recharge ability that recharges 37.5 every sec, to recharge 40 or 35 or whatever? How do I add/remove amounts of hit points to different ships? H
Thats another thing. When it says: Laser/whatever dmg: 100 Does this when 100 per shot? And how do I know how many batteries each ship/building has?

Well a simple question. I have noticed that the basic weapons is small pick/purple plasma particals, and the last weapon upgrade is the blue larger particals. But where the hell is the lasers? I mean the second weapon type doesn't display in any way. Is this intentional? is it a bug? I not its trivial, but I'd like to actually see some god damn laser displays in this thing, or at least some display.
Well, I never known what "unfair" meant. But I suppose I'll try that. I most admit I find FFA with Ai the hardest, they seem to attack alot more that way. But like in all games it just seems that you end at point where the Ai offers no more resistance. I just think this is sad as there ain't alot of people online willing to play the way I like to play this game (Huge Multi, FFA)
I have just finished another game. This one was 6 AI's, in teams of 3. Took 8 hours, could probably have been done faster, but I like to build the planets as I go along. I only built capital ships. I gotta say I'm diappointed with the AI. Its way to easily beaten. It should be more persistent in its attacks. Instead of attacking and then withdrawing, and spend 10-20 mins to recover and then come back only to repeat itself, it should attack, and keep producing, and keep trying. It cant

What do you think?
