I haven't played Sins since Enthrenchment came out. I might get Rebellion, but I gotta know: is the AI still such a huge wuss? In Entrenchment the AI would run from virtually any fight unless they had 2x your ships. It was frustrating and boring to jump to an enemy planet with a large defending fleet and watch them flee from you and let the planet fall, one after another. Is the AI more aggressive? More assertive? More brave?

I havent played in a while, but with Diplomacy being released I was tempted to buy it and relive the glory day s of old. One thing kept me back: The pathetic tenancy of the AI to run away like a little girl any time the prospect of a moderate fight looked imminent. Does the AI updates in Diplomacy address this?

In my experiance Assailants mop the floor with Illums 6 ways to sunday. This is because Illums may deal more damage, but its split up. The front laser does 50% and each of the side lasers do 25% of the total. Assailants' 5% phase missile upgrades are equal to a 8% increase in firepower, so at 30% phase and +20% damage upgrades the Assalants deal +58% damage. Combined with more total health and the ability to fire before the Illums even get into range... Yeah, they dont stand a chance. Espical

What do the different levels do? Does Debris Vortex heal more with more debris? Does level 2 heal you more? I assume so but there is nothing in the game that says so and the ENTITY files are just a jumble of characters. How much damage does the deflector shield absorb at levels 1 and 2? Does anyone know? Thanks

Turn autocast off with it. Otherwise its useless. With max AM upgrades and max Phasic Cloaking researched you can keep your navigator alive a long time, but its main strong point is the ability to park it next to a star and never run out of AM.

The AI calculates it will be faster to go to another planet instead of going through the stabilizer. Try researching the speed upgrades, I've not had this problem and I bet its becasuse I always upgrade the phase jump speed thingey for them.
