@ OP The beta is to help the developers improve the game. I will wait expectantly for each faction to be individually pitted against each other so that the racial battles will be balanced. Endure with patience, it will take a while.

the advent will. Now if you go with carriers the TEC have a fighting chance, the Sova will slow advent eco so that they have a good chance to win. Likewise, with the halcyon the advent will have a lot more DPS and easily attain air superiority. Also, the advent need not go 3 labs, they only need to go two. The TEC will have to build repair platforms to survive the quick advent tier zero spam at the very start, buying time for the sova to maximize its effectiveness at

@ redtide 1)You fail to really realize what i'm comparing. I'm comparing the user experience between the two games. Sins doesn't burn your brain out after a few games like an intense match of SC, SCBW or SC2 does. I've played plenty of starcraft, SCBW and SC2, against very good min/maxing opponents. You do have far fewer long term choices in SC, which is the lack of "CHOICES" that I talk about. The logistics of the game are very simple,

@ martox Well martox, the key point you made is about the AI. Balance is easy using the AI. When you add the human intelligence, you have to balance a LOT differently. The game will be very fun for single players as it is(or with any of the above changes), the subtle changes won't be too noticable when playing any version of the AI because they don't capitalize on the game like players can. The AI won't practice XP starvation as a strategy vs a tita
Some people are just way to serious (hint: we don't actually care).
actually you don't have the right to use the royal "we" in this situation. You imply a large group of people, yet I only see your emotional investment in this topic. Using the "I don't care" defense is a double edged sword, as it also discredits you because you can't actually stand up to rational thought. Also, you already p

I agree, it would be nice for rebellion to sell a lot of copies so that more games could go on. Then again, large games are the most fun because they offer the greatest number of variables. 1v1's are the easiest to master because you just have to play perfectly against 1 opponent. It would be a tragedy if sins was totally balanced around a 1v1 situation. Sins outshines other related games by the scope of its large scale team fights. Also, the game i
@sareth... Emo much? I wasn't ridiculing you--just agreeing. Yes, I had no common sense when I before I joined the military--duh. My point was common sense goes up a notch in the military when you work in places where things explode and cook you like a lobster from the inside out in less than in thirty seconds. In those sort of situations, the phrase, "Run!" takes on a whole new meaning. <br

2 titans beat 1 titan. This isn't a matter of skill, its just a fact. I faced two ragnarovs the other day...let me tell you how impossible of a situation this is... This is going to make many random game setups largely determine the outcomes of conflicts. Where a player used to be able to get fed and stay alive in the suicide spot (sometimes), with titans this becomes an impossibility. There isn't any skill in this. This also gives far more i

In response to the OP: Yes I agree that there is no simple on fix, but a few simple fixes overall. 1. Increase the Titan XP requrements for the first 5 levels so that when a titan faces an early LRM snipe fleet it takes longer to level (when it levels it increases its durability...making it an impossible to kill target). People should get what they pay for with LRMs...just make sure that a titan being repaired at their planet has the defensive advantage. In t

You have now introduced confusion into this discussion because you don't know what i'm talking about. PLEASE, save everyone the trouble of cleaning up your ignorance publicly by looking up what some words mean in private. On another note, The vasari ancient enemy Should be a very new and unique playable race... We should help the developers come up with ideas so that this race truly is VERY unique combat wise from the other races. Time to think outs

hah you make a situational implication and think that since you weren't explicit you are not implying anything. Its a tactic that works on people that aren't versed in argument. Needless to say, it doesn't work on me. See yet again, riddle king proves my point, that idiots need the most assistance. On another note, the vasari Ancient enemy had better be something unique... I have stated before it will be super annoying if it is zerg 2.0...
@sareth01... When a person with a tense face running at full speed shoots past you and says, "RUN!"--do it without stopping to figure out why 'cause they sure as heck won't stop then to explain it to you. Good advice for life. I was a steam propulsion engineer in the Navy for several and trust me--you run. Never regretted it a single time. I don't know if bugs is the answer but it fits "sins" far bet

The ragnarok as it is makes killing one very difficult. It is almost impossible to engage with an early fleet. The ankylon is exactly the same way, the big difference is TIME. The ragnarok destroys your fleet with 2 abilities in quick succession, it has the "surprise" firepower of a marza, but is much faster then this. This fleet loss will level it up, and now you have lost a portion/all your fleet and instantly have a stronger, harder target to kill. This specifically

lol @ the story sinperium. You very well could be right, bugs make for an excellent adversary. This would make sense why the vasari are so strong in nanite technology, small things to combat small things. I just hope the devs don't go all "omg, zerg 2.0!" On another note, I was walking through the forest one day with my brother when he stepped on the entrance to a wasp hive in the ground. All of a sudden he said "run"! and bolted past me... He say

well, you have to look at all the titans abilities to really gauge its effectiveness. Scattershot + explosive shot is a HUGE fleet fight game changer, and it levels your titan quite quickly if you are facing a lot of enemy frigates.

I wouldn't count on major changes...there is a reason why a lot of betas are open, because the developers aren't going to change core game ideas. They are going to tweak simple things to minimize bugs.
I feel the real problem is the fact that grouped ships travel only as fast as the slowest ship. Whats the point of LF, (which have a max speed of like what, 825?) and corvettes, when in reality they only go as fast as everything else? Except. of course. when you give them an attack command, THEN they charge ahead of everything else and get slaughtered. but ya. LRM are slow. 500. only carrier crui
