So I will infer from your statement that you are looking into overcharge for balance. Good to have some communication with the devs on this.

well that advantage has shifted relative to the other races with the increased cost of trade ports. The other races could have cheaper trade ports to counter balance the TEC early advantage(we shall see). The thing is having 5-6 eco labs in the beginning will substantially hamper your early expansion rate and also, the cost of the tech itself will cost a lot in crystal, which is usually in short supply. These labs will be taking up logi slots, so your trade ports/broadcast cente
actually having a random element adds something to professional play. Being able to adapt and overcome to situations that occur at the start is a way to ensure that there are more then one paths to victory, and makes for more exciting gameplay overall. This forces good TEAMWORK to overcome the opponents. Some games are frakked at the beginning, its true. Yet at the same time, watching players overcome adversity is every bit a "professional" talent. Whethe
good idea, lower tech level. I'd say tech level 5-6 would be better, make people pay a lot to acquire it early so that they have a larger window of vulnerability before their planets start to make a profit.

Culture has always been able to go through axillary government. Oh well- im sure i'll get another chance to stick it to the man/sister . You see when sareth hits rock bottom-he digs even further down. If your thinking i do that then you are greatly mistaken because i i dig my way up to china. So are we in agreement tha

yeah its still an observation with a tiny amount of data, the law of large numbers hasn't been obeyed yet. :)
Modding is no less subject to copyright than any other creative work (excepting extreme EULAs). And it makes you look like a petty jerk.
This statement might make sense if i've actually ever ripped off anything from a modder(which I haven't). So save your m
It is only an uphill battle if you don't acquire enough neutrals and the advent homeworld is stationed very close. From what i've seen in rebellion these close quarters (homeworld next to homeworld, or 1-2 jumps away) don't occur with nearly the frequency that they did in diplomacy. If the vasari player acquires 8-15 neutrals the advent player still will be at a disadvantage as the vasari player can then spam kanraks from their built up asteroid and save their
So I played a singleplayer game where the AI used culture spam on one of my worlds and actually overcame the starbase auxiliary government planetary protection. Is this is a bug or a silent "culture buff"?
Most people only have a problem real early game as Vasari going against the disciple/defender rush...that really should be the only matchup that is problematic....everything else, and really your goal is just to be bigger and badder than your enemy...have a better economy, and have more ships...if you are really in doubt and have absolutely no idea what to build, just mimic the force composition of your enemy....not exactly the best strategy (usually want to use counters)
lol, I hope you enjoy shore leave.

Its pretty lame that the ship won't be able to capture structures, I was so hoping to use this to counter early titan production. Knowing that this will be nerfed later on will mean that I probably never build this ship at the start of the game.
heh I was playing a ffa with itchynail, admiralhoth, and some new guy. Itchy used TAR (I was loyalist) to colonize the entire center of the map and culture spam everyone, making him persona non grata. He took out hoth via culture and I was fighting him non stop slowly taking worlds because I kept the pressure on him. Lucky for me my starbase world was never bypassed by the noob new guy, so he acted like a hard AI and I just focused everything on itchy. Even with a 2v

I agree, overcharge should cost less as it is to be worth the antimatter. Even better, overcharge should cost the same yet do 2.2x the damage so that the antimatter cost is justified. What a scary weapon this would be :). It would need a longer cooldown, but this would increase the fun factor of using this weapon.
