Fcom has been in beta for..years...lol Is it still a pain in the butt to install?

Looks like macintosh is getting smart and starting to play the bill gates game. lets see them take up some more market share shall we? lol
I couldn't agree more gamerlamb. What scares me is that if the the rate of the technology divide between producer and consumer continues to increase, we might just have two civilizations on this planet, with one feeding(metaphorically) off the other. If every invention is carefully created to make some billionaire more money, then you can definitely see the possibility of a sort of "knowledge" servitude/slavery system forming(or already formed...). Those who do
RSPCA? what is that? Oh and thank you for not being a fascist, I really don't like those moderators with a god complex.
Your [and that of others in similar vein] acceptance of, or lack of care for theft of IP is your right but you cannot speak for all artists, just yourself.
Actually a public servant usually abuses their power, a machine could not if it was properly programmed. In Brave New World, it was good ol humanity running the show if you remember correctly :). I think you should have used a terminator "skynet" approach on this analogy. But then you realize it is
IP is a lot less physical in some cases then a piece of land. Ideas and inventions can be quite a bit different then your more tangible property. Anyways, why not a machine? I'd just as well get rid of the entire political establishment as it is and replace it with something that doesn't have self interest. Know any people that don't have self interest? I didn't think so. I think a machine or program could do well enough to say that
Why else would you generate them. For yourself or someone else or BS philosophy.
To actively fight against ignorance and those who seek to steal freedoms for their own ends. I wanted to have this discussion precisely because there are so many artists. I am not new to these forums, just new to having a discussion with you.
Well, bully for you, but you are not the world's only artist.
Well, I never said I was. Anyways, what does this "bully for you" colloquialism mean?
It is neither 'my' politics nor 'personal troubles', it is systemic abuse of Artists' [and others']
What is so difficult to understand? You generate fancy theories which are nothing more than your justifications for taking something which is not yours.
Accusing me of something I didn't do, irrelevant and a waste of time. Learn to attack ideas not people when discussing in forums.
Mechanisms are in place and more are being created to deal with the thieves. That's just fine by me.
What do you think of Rise of Nations? Best regards, Steven.
Hmm honestly I haven't played it much, even though I own it...lol. i got that game a little before I bought sins, and I haven't looked back in wonder. I'm sure it is a great game, as I have heard a great deal of positive feedback. Sins just has a map that is big enough to excite my mind. If I remember correctly it felt
More than one pirate faction to bid for, pirate factions that specializes in say, taking out enemy fleets(more like mercenaries), taking out enemy trade (standard piracy), and destroying enemy planets (warlord style pirates, expensive!). These three options would cost different amounts, and any player or team in the game could hire their own version of these pirates. Say each team (even a team of 1) gets a pirate bid on a timer instead (instead of 1 overall timer, ever team has
While it is very likely true Bin Laden didn't personally take claim to the 9/11 attacks, he did claim the previous attempts, and the organization that he was linked to and claimed to be the head of did take claim for the events. Guilty by association? Absolutely, but when you are in charge of a group of people and something happens, ultimately you are responsible for the actions of your people. With his history, loosely pieced together ev
I figured it would be helpful for a good definition of IP. Its Wikipedia, feel free to discredit it...sounds pretty spot on though. Intellectual property ( IP ) is a term referring to a number of distinct types of creations of the mind for which a set of exclusive rights are recognized—and the corresponding fields of <a title="Law" href="http://en.wikipedia.or
Hmm that picture wasn't from that Jacques guy from the venus project was it?
hmm, so lets look at common sense with some researched facts. Osama bin laden was a terrorist who fought against the russians in afganistan. He received extensive CIA training along with weaponry to fight the Russians. George Bush Sr. was the head of the CIA terrorism training division in the CIA at the time, and this post is what led to his becoming the CIA director. There is no record of Osama Bin Laden taking claim of the sept 11th terrorist attacks, just hearsa
In bronze league of Sc2 you can win with even more ways then any other RTS.... come a bit higher and you will actually play against good players. Now the question is who did you play against in Sins and if anyone even bothered to really find out the most effective tactics of Sins (those players I am sure didn't bother to win in multiple ways but just WIN).
I play online multiplayer in sins, I am one of those brutal players who will cut you to pieces if you so decide
Illums still have the advantage when matching LF and LRM fleets. I would say a small buff to their side cannon's damage output would be all that is needed. I like that illums are different from other lrms, they aren't as effective as a focus fire LRM. With a side beam damage buff they would instead be more effective at their "zone of destruction" that they make. They still tear TEC LRMS to bits without the buff, and do quite well against kanraks as well. They d
at the same time, this game is the best RTS i've ever played. Its a great blend of turn based strategy (not quite as in depth as your turn based titles, similar to total war series level of depth) and RTS. This game is worth every penny! I keep buying it for my friends. The online community is small, and you might have to wait a while for a game. also the learning curve can be a long one depending upon your natural skill level, so expect to lose a few games
Tier 0 spam, tier zero spam, and more tier zero spam. I was able to defeat Kzm and ilihc with pure unit spam and good fleet coordination. I pressed KZM and took out all his constructors and frigate factories with my scouts and disciples (my halcyon was destroying his ice planet...he went eco against me!), and when he spammed lrms i moved disciples out but still had scouts in the grav well. Right when i had Kzm on the ropes ilihc came in with
Yes, the threshold of truly understanding information in a quantitative sense, something that we can do easily with gigabyte hard drive, but not so easily with things in the real world. How much "information" is truly inside a single cell? What sort of understanding of the interactions between energy, matter, and everything goes on in that microcosm, and how would you quantify it? How does life actually make decisions that are logical, how does life "think" at the cellular l
It happens sometimes. Its known as a desynch. You need to send the save game file somewhere ( iirc) to help them track down the issue. We almost have it beat but not quite. Hopefully the rest of your games will not do this. Its a rare issue now.
Keep up the good work! Those desyncs are worse than a minidump, at least you know something wrong happened when you mini. lol
Varona and I played a very good game just recently as well, and he mini'd right at the big battle between he and I. lol
good replay, greyfox... he should have spammed a lot of disciples, and started with a progen cap and tried to dig in earlier. Varona and Fagolas should have worked better, the green fagolas should have let varona have that terran planet and instead increase his early game advantage over hiroge. Varona would have then been able to provide a lot more feed. Tyr's fight was interesting, he had the total upper hand, if he had only killed the constructors first! His ca
I have been reading about how the quantum computer has already been built and is being stored in NORAD. There was heavy investment in this during the early-mid 1990's and there has been plenty of time to research and develop a prototype. From what I can tell, the corporate world is about 20+ years ahead of the civilian world in technology. This time lag is essential for protecting powerful technologies from too quickly changing the population dynamics of a society
