I have put my ships in a pirate base full of pirate ships, capitalships and starbases and the have been blasted so hard that the shields were the only things visible and still no color. But is it possible to change that reflection texture we see when the shields are hit?

Hi, I've been searching for a little while for the backdrop you see in research screens. The ones who are right under the research buttons tree that are different colors each block. anyone knows where are those? in wich file are they and what should i do to change their colors?

it didn't seem to make a difference with the first two ff or not, the shields stay black :s

All of the frigate and capital ship shields are eather lightly yelloww or black. Is there a way to add a colored texture to shields to change that?

The way i did it is by changing only this line " maxUpgradeLevelCount 8" to 24 and it works. i don't know what you did that do this but maybe it's because of another mod enabled if you got any.

Do you know about the ability called EMP charge from the tech? well what i would like si to make a research option available that makes all my ships immune to this ability. Is it possible?

Is there another file that is related to the skyboxes other that the skybox.manifest and SkyBoxProperties.skyboxbackdropdata? because i deleted the SkyboxBackdrop2DistantStars.dds and SkyboxBackdrop1DistantStars.dds and edited the two skybox files so that the game would not load them. But yet the game says that these files are missing. Am i missing something here? EDIT: NVM found it. The skybox files are also stated in each Star.entity files

That's cool it's the first time i see a guide like this. There were alot of these things that i didn't understand but now i know :) i managed to remove the starbase upgrade that raised the targets per bank and adjusted all of the to 3. It('s not what i was searching for but it looks good that way. Thanks peaple :) Or maybe there is another way, how about making a starbase ability and replace the beam hardpoints with ability hardpoints. And the ability would sho

Myfist that's what i thought, to raise the damage and balance the whole thing. I added the hardpoints and they are not stacked on eachother. I did modified each of the TargetcountPerBank to 1 but the other weapons only shoot at 1 or 2 enemies too.

I have made a movable starbase where i put a single beam weapon on each side. 1 in front, 1 back, 1 left and 1 right. However when there is an enemy raid, the beams shoots multiple beams per weapon meshpoints. I would like them to shoot one beam per meshpoints/weapons. i don't know if you see what i'm tlaking about. How can i do that?

Yeah i just checked other mods with new races. They all have existing weapon types, only the particles were new Strange because in this game, you can add anything from new race, new ships, new backgrounds... exept for weapon types xD Well thanks anyway :)

oh ok i didn't know we could do that. But the problem is that it woudl also chnage the name of other faction's weapons using the same weapon type. What i would like is to just add a new one. I tried in some ship's files to change the weapon type to, for exemple "superplasma" but it would crash ingame.

Is it possible to change the number of capital ship crews required for each capital ships? for exemple, if i add a superduper capital ship, would it be possible to change the cost for about 2 or 3 capitalship crews for each one?

Can somebody please give me the commands for the dev.exe? i have to test something that is crashing but i must have three things researched first. I'm talking about the commands where you have 10000 recources, all researched instant build etc...

Yes i did. in that file i correctly put the names of the texture files in it. I cheched that part 5 or 6 times. Yes i added the line "playername.playerpictures" (the same name as the playerpicture file in the window folder) and added the count as +1. i did the same way in entrenchement and it worked, but in diplomacy it doesn't and i don't know why.

most of the mods i like all works in 1.1 :) I didn't edit any brush file. Only the player.entity and the playerpictures and added the textures. What is the name of brush file that i should edit?
