These are great ideas! :-)

Compress it and send the zip file to :-) @Ironclad: You should probably automate this process, or put instructions into the manual or somewhere easy to find.
Send them to . They compress very well, so put them into a zip file :-)
No. Would it even make any sense in a zero-gravity game???
Aren't Orgovs supposed to fire the rockets at structures only? I played against AI just now and they were tearing my caps apart.
I had a similar problem: clicking on Single or Multi-Player in the main menu produced a minidump. After I removed custom maps from the galaxy-game-folder (not the one in AppData) it worked again.
I have the same problem, I usually switch the foldernames, so Impulse has access to one version of the game at the time. Before Entrenchemt beta 2 it showed both Vanilla and Entrenchment to be available for download, but now there's only Entrenchment :-( Impulse is getting annoying!
Thanks for the info! And will there ever be a fix for the annoying delay for bonuses from colonizing with a capship to kick in (free extractor, structur build time decrease and planet upgrade cost decrease)? I always have a little mod loaded to get rid of this. Greetings anyways ; - D
Maybe the mod is incompatible... But then it should be visible at least, but produce a minidump on load. Maybe the mod folder has a sub folder where the actual mod files are. It has to be \Local Settings\AppData\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\MODNAME\NOTHING MORE\
Entrenchment is as of now only available as a download. Pre-ordering now will allow you to participate in the beta, if you like. About the multiple copies... I'm not sure, how Impulse handles this. Maybe if you want to install on several machines, use different accounts to order one copy each. What does not work, is just moving the whole game folder to another PC ;-D
I think in this case the map has a flaw with the AI's homeworld. Do you get a victory screen? Open the map in GalaxyForge and check that every AI has a homeworld assigned. :-)
Hi! Custom maps sometimes have the wrong version number . Open the .galaxy file with notepad or similar and look at the very top. It has to be 1 for patch 1.05 or earlier and 2 for 1.1 and later. Just change if necessary and save the file (maybe notepad adds .txt to the file name, change it back to .galaxy). If you put tha custom map files into the ...\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins...\Maps f
Stars don't need to be connected, there is no special phase line. I guess it's hardcoded. As soon as you've researched it, all your ships will be able to jump from one star to another. Of course you have to connect the star to the planets around it. Edit: You most likely downloaded GalaxyForge 1.1, so the map needs to have the version number 2. Open the galaxy file with notepad or similar and look at the second line. If it's 1, just change it to 2 and save the file (check if notepad a
It's about 240MB to download. If you have the patch 1.12 for the basic game allready. If not, Another 100MB or so. Edit: ; - D
Yes, just change the version number to the one you need and save the file. Notepad sometimes add .txt, which you would have to remove manually.
Hejhej! Open the galaxy file with a text editor and check the " versionnumber " at the very top. It has to be 1 for the 1.05 patch. Since you used GalaxyForge 1.1 the map might not work at all. Either upgrade to SoaSE 1.12 via Impulse, or download GalaxyForge 1.05 (though I don't know if thats still possible). Greetings!
The Problem here is not only that (The CD format copy) the thing is, I'm not going to buy it via impulse, I buy all games through game stores...
Why?
You can choose to uninstall Entrenchment in Impulse. Afterwards you should right click->verify the Sins install. Impulse will probably download some files. Worst case: it will be downloading the entire sins install package. I had both cases, no idea why.
First of all your galaxy files need to be versioned correctly. Open the file, there's "version number" in the second row. 1 for 1.05 and previous, 2 for 1.1 and later (also for Entrenchment). The files can be put into the galaxy folder of your Sins install (standard is Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire) then they will show somewhere in the small, medium or large section in the game. If you want them to appear under custom maps, put the galaxy file into: \Document
My best guess would be wait a day and try again, maybe stardocks servers have a problem. Have you re-installed the game from DVD, or registred your serial and downloaded the install package?
You have to put the mod files into ..C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\MODNAME (for XP) In the game the name of the mod will be the folder name MODNAME. Edit: sorry the XP-path I gave was wrong [e digicons]:'([/e]
In the "english.str" file search for "IDS_TUTORIAL" there are some tips from the tutorials, which I'm pretty sure are the same as on the loading screen.
I don't think these mini expansions will be sold on CD individually. After all of them have been pulished, there might be a combined retail version. If you like to have a physical copy, just choose "install and archive" in Impluse and burn the install package to a CD.
Minidump files can be send to . Pack them into a zip file I suggest. Cheers!
How about one of the first three here: http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1231451683/ref=sr_nr_p_computer_cpu_speed_2?ie=UTF8&rs=565098&bbn=565098&rnid=107455011&rh=n%3A541966%2Cn%3A565098%2Cp_36%3A10000-63099%2Cp_
