1. All races star bases move NO - That's a bandaid to the problem of range. As I've said before the phase lanes need to be narrowed. This fixes the mine spam as less are needed and SB placement becomes not only useful but critical - and the vasari moveaability can actually be a bad thing - ie use a small fleet to pull the base away makign the lanes clear 2. Phase jump inhibitor built into star base. What percent should it be? Keep in mind phase jump inhibitors for planets are

Here is the bug I keep finding - especially on large maps. It may be related to CPU or memory, or the lack of. The mines toggle between phases and as such the fleet will not or cannot destroy them. The starbase was effective until a fleet moved in and it decided toram itself through the field... <param name="allowFullScreen" value=

Yup as I said in another post, narrowing the lanes while the SB is present would: 1) fix the problem of going around - now placement actually means something 2) weapon range again is better since you can't scoot on by with the narrower lane - you'd have to get within weapons range 3) useful in every grav well - even neutrals - and the suns become even more stragec I would however like to see certain bonuses given to SB's placed in neutrals asteroid fiel

I agree wit the increased range, and they shouldn't be so easy to get around The best solution I've care up with is to narrow the lanes when the base is present so you can't jump right past it. The suppression isn't a good idea unless it's an upgrade, but if you could narrow the jump area to be closer to the white line then placing the base in the correct path would be a lot more useful as it stands now, you can jump while being pretty far from the phase lane and the b

Also having the Vasari mine layer should have an auto-patrol option similar to the scouts but only for the system that it is in. I also agree that the scouts range needs to be dramatically increased, and all ships should activly avoid the mines It pisses me off to see my fleet run headstrong into the mine field to attack a mine in the middle of the damn field and ignore te ones on the perimeter. Also the fighter should be more effective against a mine than a bomber.</p

CD-KEY should be on the back of the manual - if it's not return the game and send an email to [email protected] and give them a copy of teh receipt and the store name and location but if you bought the game used (i can't read the receipt) you're better off just returning it and buying a new copy or though impulse EDIT: looks like gamestop... ya GL with that.

It's not over until the last ship is killed or the losing side decides to say its over. end of story. sometimes playing ot the end lets you try some different strats too like seeinghow long it takes the other team to track down that lone scout ship killing the trade ships and passing the credits on to his team mates ;) you'd be amazed how easy it is to sit around the far side of a sun and pick off trade ships ;)
well... SSD is still mostly hype IMHO, and AFAIK those 15k SAS drives aren't optimized for desktop/workstation applications (they're optimized for servers). so that much isn't surprising to me in the least. i'd also imagine the 'faster' feel of 64-bit has a lot to do with Vista caching files as you use them. but as far as 64-bit computing goes, one thing i've been really interested in trying out is a RAM disk (..."what's a loading screen

I am planning on doing a format of this computer, And I would like to know what filies I need/should backup for Sins. The save games aren't really all that important since im not running the most recient version but once I reinstall it I will be. Mostly I'm looking to back up the settings and achievements if possible. Any help would be great, I did a quick look around the old disk and didn't see anythign obvious and the forum search was less than helpful.
500,000x$40=$20, 000,000
Well not quite :/ $40 retail probably only nets SD/IC $30 the rest is tied up for retail and distribution 500,000 x $30 = 15mil Now I know not all was purchased retail, but my copy was. Also Target has Sins on sale for $30. I would figure the expansions will cost the same to develop - you might think it's less but they are adding new content and having to
