I think the article posted in the other thread said January.

When does it start eating up too much memory? I'd say 10 would be a minimal to keep it useful, a max I'm guessing 30. When LRM spams happen they are in the 30's - 40's. If I could only queue 20 of them I'd be satisfied. The biggest issue isn't re-issuing commands for me, it's the frequency. I typically change throughout a battle, ie. kill 5 repair ships, then start widdling down Heavy cruisers. There are time where I send fighters after a huge spam of LRM's,

Thanks gentlemen. When will this be available for beta testing?
I hope you like rotten tomatoes...
In eagerness to play, how do I pre-order this? Testing the beta would be a pleasure.
Hmm I wonder what the reason is...
I think it was pretty valid. S/He wasn't rude about it or anything, just telling you that if you put it into paragraphs it makes it easier for everyone to read. I agree personally. It's much nicer when things have some format to break up the ideas.
I remember reading some math people did on here back in February. It calculated it out that Focus firing in the end is better because you eliminate certain damage amounts earlier on and because the shield mit. capped out. Do you know if removing regeneration would tip the balance the other way? ie. 4 cobalts vs 4 cobalts. One group focus fires, the other spread fires. I guess if I get some time over the next couple of weeks I can just test i
The topic has changed considerably from the original post so I'm giving a little update (I've left the original post below for anyone interested in how the discussion arose). This thread discusses different ideas and possibilities for an upcoming mod I'd like to create. As time goes by I'll update it with more details but here is the main overview: The Plot <
Seriously, if you're not yet on beta, go check it out. Online is way more stable, the balance and pace of the game is a lot better. Also, the more people testing the sync error the quicker this thing will come out.
It might be better if: A) the percentage of fleet upkeep was, as you said, based on the number of ships you currently have. or B ) Ships get more expensive the more you have of them. I prefer B because it really helps limit spam and encourages well rounded fleets. Bye bye LRM spams!! Example... one cobalt costs 60 cr 10 m with one cobalt in opera
1v1? I've actually not experienced people quitting on me but I know your frustration. In single player the comp does seem to follow my commands, maybe it's 'cuz i'm running beta.
Yeah it does look very staged.
Try putting the computer on "Researcher" and see if it builds a superweapon.
I'm not sure where I read it it, but Z-axis was thought to be back in 1.096. Someone had found that you could add a key to the Z-axis but I believe they didn't have a chance to test it out. I confirmed last night that Z-axis does work in 1.096. After assinging the hot key for it, click the move button then hit your z-xis hot key and move the mouse up and down. I can't get it to work with the right click, only by clicking the move button.
You are confusing 1.096 beta with the new Expansion "Entrenchment". Beta does not have mines or stations and neither does 1.1
I'm goin online right meow!! Beta 1.096
For the modding community or in general? (EDIT) Sorry I meant to quote this but I must have hit reply.... Reply #2 <a id="ctl00__Content__RepeaterReplies_ctl01__LinkUser" class="hand" title="Click user name to view more options." oncli
I'm mountain standard time. (North America i think it's -8 hours.. not too sure because we just had our daylight savings time). If you're in Europe that could be why. Most games are USA centred.
awww how sweet.
I work and go to school fulltime so I usually only play on weekends. I've had the odd game during the week and there were still people there. It's slow for sure, but an hour and a half seems like a long time. Do you usually go in the lobby and talk with people? I find that's the best way to start a game.
Post it again here. Or give a summary. Did you use profanity? Were you unnecessarily rude or demeaning?
I would suggest that rather than having a button or a UI function for ships to attack a certain type, they should just continue attacking the type of ship you last told them to attack until all those ships are destroyed. Once they are destroyed then they should go back to attacking the ships that they are most qualified to kill. To stop them from attacking the ships you last asked them to, one could just press the Stop button which would eliminate all previous orders.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say, "No".
