Fighting the Borg is a real bummer. They seem grossly unbalanced. I'll set up a Starbase with lots of phaser turrets but a couple of Spheres will warp in and still manage to destroy everything.

Hmmm, thanks fellas. I'll give the carrier idea a try.
I really like playing as the Vasari. Their battleship is the best of the three races, their ships use phase-missiles which bypass shields, and their phase gates mean you can quickly reinforce a threatened system. It seems like a great race. But the problem I have is with their lack of any anti-structure ship. If you jump into a system with an enemy starbase and it's completely upgraded to the max, you're kinda screwed. If you attack with your fleet, you might win, but your fleet's
The Vasari's best racial trait is the creation of phase stabilizers, allowing for relatively quick transit between planets. However, the Antorak Marauder's phase stabilizer ability seems broken. I was just playing and had my offensive fleet on some far-off planet when I was attacked on another front. I activated my Marauder's phase ability and pointed the fleet toward the system where the enemy was attacking, which had a phase stabilizer built. However, the fleet still seemed to go the long w
It's pretty obvious the Vasari's nemesis is... the Shivans! They're going to collapse a star with their Sathanas fleet.
Alrighty, found it. Thanks.
Not sure if anyone else feels this way, but I find the Advent's Iconus Guardian's shield special to be incredibly annoying and bothersome. This is simply an aesthetic complaint but when I send my fleet into battle, it really isn't enjoyable to watch large whitish blurry spheres everywhere. I understand it's meant to reflect the large shielding protecting the rest of the fleet, but an option to tone it down would be very welcome. Also, I've noticed that the Advent are in
I think it's fine for the most part, yet there could perhaps be some tweaking. For example, currently your fleet and the enemy fleet take up a single row on the empire bar on the left side. This is fine usually but with large fleets the block of dots can stretch halfway across the screen, which is a bit much. Perhaps your fleet dots and the enemy dots could take up separate rows.
Yes, the game definitely begins to drag in the endgame after you've slapped down the opposing fleet. But I find the problem is that most times, you don't even really get to slap it down, since the AI will retreat their fleet when it looks like they're losing the tide of battle. This might be realistic, but it's also frustrating as you watch the enemy slip away to subspace when you really want to pound them down. Perhaps an expansion could introduce a cruiser that mounts a small phase jump inh
SoaSE: Balance of Power? X-Wing vs TIE Fighter fans will get it, I think.
Is it just me or is the fleet setting in game options broken? I always set it to small fleets yet the AI still seems to build up to fleet cap if given enough time. I actually figured the setting would change the fleet cap yet that doesn't seem to be the case either.
Hi, I was just wondering if there was a list of planet and ship names in the game that could be modded? I really like the ability to change the names of capital ships and planets in the game, but it gets tiring after having to do it every single game. So... is there a list of random names that the game uses? Thanks for the help.
