Dang thats nuts. Where do you get all these numbers???
read about 60books or visit the starwars wiki speaking of numbers ... hmm is it 250000 crew for a mark1 stardestroyer vs 6000 on a sins cap ship? i geuss thats the diffrence between a galactic and a solar empire. On topic, is it Palpatine's empire or Thrawn's empire, the 2 have vastly different views on everything fro
***Btw, I know that a moderator already answered to my next question in another post but the search function sux here and I'm not able to find the topic, so here goes my question : How do we remove the interface to take nice screenshot? (I'm not talking about cinematic, it's easy to remove that) Thx.
im pretty sure it's ctrl+shift + Z
I wouldn't mind producing, but I need a planet for that - and by the time any reinforcements would reach the battle.. it would be over. They'd have to jump to a star, star to star, star to battle zone. And as far as the production capacity goes, it's not infinite. That supply is maxed when I feel I have little army at all. Even with large fleets enabled it seems I can't scrape enough units together to effectively take systems, and defend the ones I already have.
2 small suggestions to make the AI a much better *player* make it take mine in ucgw's as mentioned make it launch it's strikecraft when just traveling through a grav well- placing a carrier fleet in a sun's grav to take out ½ the AI's fleet before it even get to where it's goinng is a little silly:)
When you say 'if they start pushing content to expansions then you ahve a point'...well that is exactly waht they have done and is the point I am trying to make..
as i said, i consider the mini xpacks part of the game, in that sentence i was talking about *real* expansions after thoose. Also, if you want a world where no desisions are ever changed and no statement ever altered you're gonna become a very bitter bloke:) no inf
Trying to view this from the dev perspective I understand the need for cash flow and have no problems with expansion routes that deliver new content; however, not content which was intended and stated as being available post-release for free, given that Sins was said to have been released in an unfinished state without said content missing.
how much are you paying? *if* i choose to buy all 3 x-packs im looking at 250+100+100+100=550DKr vs a normal game pr
Also, I did just finish playing against hard AI. They attacked one of my planets in the rear with a fairly decently large fleet of probably 150 or so. Micro-managing my repair facilities to keep construction frigates alive and constantly rebuilding allowed to eventually kill them all off! Didn't even need a fleet. Good thing too cuz my main fleet was all the way across the solar system.
Fully upgraded TEC repairbays are cheatingly good [e digicons]:in
I mean, seriously, when Starcraft 2 comes out, who's going to want to play Sins??
Ppl like diffrent stuff, some like 30min games others like to have games last 10hours. Tho' i will get SC2 and see if it balanced enough for competativ play that does not mean sins becomes obsoleet, Chess vs Poker ya'know [e digicons]XD[/e]

Hmm it sounds like you are trying to *skip* the first level of fleet reshearch... you don't start of with 1 level reshearched, you start at level *0* ---> try pressing the 1'st green botton, not the grayed out one If that dossent work i'll have to open the game to chek out what the deal is(can never remember the name of stuff i just do it^^)
Tho' im sure that there will be a *story-mode* at some pont, this game much clooser to CIV/MOO series than sttarcraft, it is a 4x-rts game where starcraft is just an rts And why is a do this map then this map then taht map better than just playing random maps anyway? I don't think i ever played a campaign in an RTS game, and the few times i did it was more as a tutorial than anything else My imaginatin >>>>> any crap story remember we are
3 lvl 6 MARZA cap ships(geuss why lvl 6^^) 2 Dunnov cap ships 10 carriers witha few bombers + lots of fighters ( they are not supposed to kill stuff just draw the AI strike craft) 10 HOSHINKO(TM) 3 repair bays and lots of hangers and you can take out the AI fleets(this will work untill endgame super fleets, at that point you will need more) Anyway, it souds like you set the AI plyers as 1 team, tr splitting them into 2 teams, if you win m
I researched well into the last tier in weapons and civilization tree. EVERYTIME I tried to do something or advance in the Logistic research it kept telling me I needed at least two research labs (well DUH I had 9 labs)
You almost got it, when you acces the reschearch menu there is a list you just diddent notice (for ease of explanation --> same as pressing that chemmestry/reshearch botton at the top center of the screen) <p
1. Modding hardocdes. We want them gone. Now. You guys, say "It would require a total engine re-write." I say, "So? DO IT ALREADY!". We say, "Why are there even the hardcoded limits?" You say, "We switched direction multiple times during development." I say if your engine is a slapped-together amalgamated kludge since you had no idea what you were doing during the development process, that is your problem for you to fix. Not ours to deal with. You say these things like we are
The reason the Empire doesn't use shielded fighters is because they want their fighters to be cheap to produce and fast. More advanced fighters are shielded however.
thrue, but they seem to favor cheap stuff and mass production + a few super weapons, the TIE intercepter does indeed have shields but it never finds widespread use in the impire they seem more in line with the USSR than the USA in mindset(Big suprise there eh Oo)
The solution is 42! but im betting the frog will leap in with a reply soon /bump
Maybe a pirate contract where they get pirate ships like the ra.
Said about the rebels hmm is it not the empire that deals with pirats and bountyhunters, the rebels despise them. Imho it should be the empire that has *cheap* pirats, and in the 2'nd thrawn trillogy it's the empire that are buying ships from pirats a top level millitary reshearch for the empire could be /Dark Jedi admiral/ making fleets more efficiant -- frigs
In the top of the screen right in the middle there are 3 buttons, diplomacy, reshearch, and black market to get a larger fleet you need to press the reschearch button that will open the reshearch menu, choose logistics and you acces that menu the top of that menu is the number of capital ships you can field the bottom is how large your fleet is evey time you reshearch larger fleets you must fir
tradeports are allways worth it, they pay for themself in 10min with just 2 after the longer the chain the faster the next pays for itself. imo flakfrigs are pretty useless untill lategame, when each side start to field 40-50squards having 4-6 will greatly improve your killraet of them if you go with thr capship + support fleets i talked about AM regen (both the struckture and the reachearch) is very powerfull, but setup in the riht way you
IMO Radiance is quite valuable for Advent fleet.
8k hull/shield and 13 armor when maxed + energy arborbing armor + animosity maxes it *the* cap when everything is reashearched with propper supoert it can take an insane beating and survive nullifing a huge portion of enemy dps so despite clensing not being the sizzle it's one of the better caps in the game
thats what the forums are for, just post about the situations where you get in trouble and you'll get a few options from more expirienced players. 1'st advise play the tutorrial, then play a game then replay the tutorial 2'nd play a game as each race, deside what you like best then stick with that fdor awhile. 3'rd repairbays will help ALOT with defending the first few games, tradeports are a must as soom as you reach 3-4 co
