Playing Tec, the Kol, dunnov combo works very well at clearing stikecraft, but if you dont follow it up with LF(light frigate) assault on the carriers, you have pretty much given up your advantage. Especially with Tec, you can build LF in droves. They are completely expendible. Clear sky, launch LF like kamakazi pilots and start building replacements. its gonna cost your opponent much more in terms of replacing carriers than you replacing LF. Always be aware that so
Hey spiralblitz Some good points in that. It was worth the read. There are many ways to beat carriers and I dont really find them overpowered.(wheres the fun, if everything is always easy) You are absolutely correct in that any encounter is highly situational. If you cant plan an attack (or defence) properly you should go back to playing starcraft and other spamable games. I personally think that the ballance in sins (non entrenchment) has been properly adjusted a
Idea #431,592.4 If you had the option to "downgrade" ship slots. It would cost you time and money, but would give you the opertunity of being able to at least have a fighting chance to defend your last few "fleet-to-expensive-to-build-while-being-endlessly-bombarded" remaining planets and to possably even stage a comeback from your rapidly shrinking empire.
Well......... the possible reasons could vary heavily depending on situation. Give some more info and you stand a better chance of actually getting responses. (e.g.) Video card type/specs operating system any usefull information that someone NOT sitting at your PC might not have access to. Have you tried uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling and updating? [e digicons]-_-[/e]
Ok, first you must link the z-axis to a key. (use a button near the tactical and que orders keys) The reason for this is because you can use the z-axis more effectively in tactical view. Hold down the z-axis key and then also hold the alt key. Now give some movement orders. (Remember that if you just click some random place while using z-axis it will almost always just plot to a far away point on the z-axis, relative to the axis you are currently on. Some clever
For example, you select your flaks and alt+click on enemy fighters. So your flaks now have their queue. But if you select your LRFs, they won't have a queue and you can then alt+click on light frigates or something, and so on so forth. Essentially, wouldn't it allow to have every enemy ship queued for every group of ships in your own fleet, in theory?
The best of all is that you dont have to use it at all, but the micro manager that wants to squeeze that
well im at your house, ripping up your stuff. So you must be kicking the ass of someone trying to rob me. [e digicons][/e] Thanks [e digicons]|-)[/e] [e digicons]k1[/e]
So with your method, it would still be possible to queue a very large number of ships wouldn't it?
Well...yes. I guess so, but only if the enemy has 100+ ships of the same type, in the same grav well. All at the same time and if you ever get into any battle where there is more than 100 of the same type of enemy then your PC is plenty powerfull enough to handle the que. Strangly though, I dont think the devs will listen to me. Otherw
@annatar Im in your collector edition gamebox, tearin up your bonus material [e digicons]*_*[/e] [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Thanks for the great idea [e digicons]}:)[/e]
But yeah. I just try to be general enough. I just know that memory usage is a huge thing for IC to worry about. Some of us have been asking since release to put in stack queueing for orders (like right clicking on a stack would queue all the ships belonging to it as targets), but the answer we got was it's not in because they don't have a good system worked out for how to limit potential memory usage on it - since 10-ships-per-stack is not hardcoded and someone could change it to be 10
and a serial is all you'll get, no shipping for cd or whatnot.
No CD or whatnot's. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] Dont listen to him. Your first capital ship is designated as your flagship and is free. If you lose your flagship it is NOT free the second time. Check the tooltips when you hover the mouse pointer over that first ship.
In my case, I play Tec mostly.........and that kinda means that in ANY 1 on 1 fight my strikecraft get shamefully decimated. [e digicons]x_x[/e] (poor pilots). I have my strikecraft docked most of the time, as I usually have 2 - 3 kol's and 1 - 2 dunnov's in my carrier fleet. Those caps can wipe out most 50+ strikecraft squads and once I have air superiority(with no strikecraft in the "air") I would launch my own craft. It makes my fleet better distribute damage taken when it counts
1 : click on structure requiered 2 : Click on little >>>>> icon at the bottom of your screen (below the picture of the monkey advisor) 3 : wait approx. 30 sec 4 : BOOM
Otherwise you might want to try buying the game. That usually solved key issues

Six sova's should not be taken lightly. Thats a lotta strikecraft, and at Lvl 6 they get built instantly. Bring with a few of the carrier frigates (10 - 20) Drop in 2 -3 Kol capitals with the lvl3 flak burst and an akkan for the possibility to retreat when the time is right. Also some anti fighter frigates couldnt hurt!!. All in all, it does kinda sound like fun. (not all that into carrier spam, but this has some promise) [e digicons]:P[/e] </
I think it has to do with the fact that my second internal drive is IDE, the first is SATA. Both are primary. Yes, that may also be an issue. To ensure your (SATA) primary OS drive is not in focus confict with the (IDE) secondary OS drive, you may have to change jumper settings on the drives themselves... make the SATA the master and the IDE a slave. To do this you will need to open up your tower/box and refer the the manufacturer instructions. Most drive these days hav
