Halcyons suffer build penalties and build time for their extra 1 squad per level, and telepush costs an exorbitant amount of AM. Sovas missile batteries are stationary and do not phase jump with the sova. The current skirantra can beat both these ships 1v1 or 2v2 with minimal damage taken by simply kiting and letting the bombers do all the work. Missile barrage was nerfed by expanding the time under which its damage was dealt. A level 3 shield restore will save most of your ships unde

I take the most issue with the ability at lvl 3. its strong as hell at 1 and 5, but level 3 is where its just ridiculous. Level 1 is somewhat manageable by other carrier caps, level 5 you should have some carriers and/or flak to deal with it, but level 3 is the in between where its just too strong too fast. Maybe start cooldown high, and lower it per level

Hey everyone its that time again, lets compile some data! This is a post that I will update regularly to give the DEVS a better idea of what people think should be done to stats in the next patch. This is ONLY for patches, no new ships or elaborate concepts for the next expansion. This is for dealing with peoples’ concerns about balance. If there’s a balance idea you have that’s not on here, post it and I’ll put it up for voting if it seems valid. I love t

Ive tested and found 2 lvl3 skirantras can maintain 18 squads in battle. And no you don't have to go microphasing aura. You can go scramble bombers and repair cloud and simply switch if you want to build an sb or support your fleet. Like any cap ship you cant do both at the same time because of the Am consumption until you get to higher levels and Am upgrades. That doesnt mean you have to go solely dps or solely fleet support. They can be used for what you need them for. You need to kill enem

So recently they've changed scramble bombers to launch an increasing amount of squads per level rather than a shorter cooldown per level. I recommended this type of fix several patches ago but with one stipulation, increase the cooldown time. They didn't, and now the ability is RIDICULOUSLY powerful. Here's the Stats: Lvl1: 1 Squad, 50 AM, Cooldown 35 seconds, duration 120 seconds. Lvl2: 2 Squad, 50 AM, Cooldown 35 sec

Shield projection takes a third of the damage dealt to ships within its radius and deals it to the Guardians shields instead. It does not stack. PMs do bypass shields, but when they do inside the battle ball, a third of their damage is still dealt to the guardians shields, in other words, you do not have to have shields on your ships for shield projections to work. Using the progenitor in conjunction with shield projection allows you to spread the focus fired damage being don to your fleet ou

Rather than having the title "Dont bother with multiplayer" perhaps a better title would be "Multiplayer problems" or "ICO troubles". Makes it seem less ranty and personal. Just saying. But I agree ICOs having serious problems, and I have experienced all the symptoms you've described above.
I don't know how much an issue they are for new players. I think for most pros, it's not a matter of them being easy experience - they're just annoying to deal with. The vets want to fight each other directly, through a battle of production, micro, and strategic positioning, without dealing with outbidding each other for the pirates, or dealing with periodic pirate raids. Thus, I doubt this would have any effect on them being off for pros games.
10

Advent were never really supposed to be a powerful early game race. Quick start reversed that, but now that the illum has been toned down, they're a little more like they used to be. I don't really see that as a problem other than that people who are used to being able to stomp other races early as Advent now have a fairer fight on their hands. I haven't really noticed much of a disadvantage for Advent on the defensive side of the rush, but on the offensive side they're much weaker now.

Pretty much just leave em and all their abilities (or if you just want a specific ability turn the others off) on autocast and they'll do their thing. Though you should probably set them up to alternate casts if you want to use more than 1 at a planet because some of the abilities don't stack, but most the time that isn't really necessary.

Well first off pacts are extremely powerful, especially the high level ones (for example, TEC supply pact gives you and your ally 1000 tax free supply!). So whether you're playing against people or AI, getting some pacts going will have a big impact on the game. You should try and put an envoy cruiser at all of of your allies planets. They have abilities that give great bonuses like increased extraction rates or tradeport income. Also TEC envoy cruisers have an ability that generates extra in

Great Job! You're learning fast.I recommend using the forums search function and look up posts with keywords like "Newb/noob advice" and the like. There have been hundreds of posts on the subject, all of which you'll find helpful advice. Also you can find answers to almost any question you have just by typing in the keywords in the search tool like "Beginners strategy" or "building strong economy". Definitely take some time to look at the descriptions for all the techs in the tech tree. It wi

Light Frigates. They're cheap and rip through flak and carriers easy. If you see your opponent going carriers and flak, answer with carriers, flak and light frigates. Your light frigates can tear down carriers health rapidly, and he'll be losing very expensive units to ones that aren't as such. Fighters will help thin out the bombers numbers initially, even if they all die to flak, that helps keep your light frigates alive to do their job. Bombers dont do crazy amounts of damage to light frig

I'll usually use up my available supply and then go ahead and research shield health and armor upgrades as high as I can go with the amount of military labs I have. That's if I haven't started fighting my opponent yet. i'm always scouting though and keeping an eye on his fleet size, and if it looks like I need more ship to take him on, I'll go ahead and upgrade it. Also I find if Im weak on metal or crystal, I'll try and purchase the extraction upgrades as high as I can before purchasing the

I equate the disuse of the features in diplomacy to the disuse of entrenchment features like mines. To get the full experience you gotta use em, but its not a huge loss if you don't. Sure, the whole diplomacy screen and allies missions are a big part of this expansion, but pacts and envoy cruisers are still a big part too, and they get used. REally what I'm hoping is that as more new players join the MP community, more FFAs will appear. But the simple fact is that people don't want to

Not so much nerfing them as capping their ability to upgrade. I definitely like em tougher, but there comes a point at the moment where they just simply get too tough and are absolutely unstoppable. They shouldn't be unstoppable.

Pirates are exactly that, they are still there, but aren't actively seeking to raid your empire. A pirate base makes an excellent choke point if its the only one between you and your opponent, as it makes fleets trying to pass through subject to attack by the pirate forces gurading the base, and if you take it out and colonize it, its gives you a decent credit amount of income and offers a good deal of tactical slots. I would leave the pirates alone until you have a force that could certainly

Great idea agent. I only see three potential problems. 1) Number input: In a big 5v5 you've got 10 players numbers to input, I suppose if you wanted you could write them all down before minimizing, but I see a potential problem for people who dont have a pen and paper handy, having to minimize and maximize repeatedly to input numbers. That could get a little cumbersome for some, and for me, well, my computer doesn't quite like repeatedly minimizing and maximizing Sins and tend
