On the AI being too slow to respond here's a simple way. I made a request to my ally to help defend a planet. He doesn't turn up another ally helps and leaves I go about my buisness. My main fleet is partway through making a move on another empire when suddenly my eye passes over the empire tree to see a Allied cap at an asteroid near a planet one jump from my home. I investigate and see a massive fleet forming up to jump to this world. I go Defcon 1 I s

I never defend my home planets. I expand aggressively then bunker down. Early on I have 12 planets when all others (I play AI) have 3 or 4 and by the time they have full I'm defending a few choke points. TBH if you're playing AI as long as you treat them nce and watch the bounty you won't need to defend at all till late game. Made a full game using only ten Cobalts and an Akkan from the start :D

aren't GameStation doing a thing where you buy Sins and you get a code to download the Beta and later full expansion of entrenchment?

I'm an Econ/Diplomacist so for me Expert Agrressors are my challenge. I usually set them all in an alliance together and then try and survive when I use my normal tactic of very weak military against these powerful military enemies. As for online I've never gonje on. Was planning to go on with entrenchment but TBH I can't be bothered from what I hear of the mine fest

Someone else mentioned this in a post so I tried it out and in Single Player I have found it very effective. Using small fleets of LRMs and managing the targetting in large battles to aim at combat frigates rather than caps or support frigates you can decide your enemies fleet. An Example probably explains this best: I pick at this guy with hit and runs and whenever we fight I aim for his Cobalts and LRMs. I hit everything except Gardas and Cielos the la

I'd say the infinite crash loop was caused by the hacked and not approved update you got. As for not being able to update officially just ask StarDock they'll dort it

Oh yeah add to mine it was a massive huge map (like 150 planets?) the biggest map and I was TEC

I love how he completely ignores the parts about EA giving limited installs. Chances are he's going to ignore this post too though as it doesn't follow his points. Now may I point out that despite insults by definition Spydr is right. There is no DRM in Sins. What there is is a system requiring a login to get access to certain features like update and multiplayer. This login system is present in: Most EA Games Every Steam Game

Would be nice anyway :) Ah well. Also In answer to earlier the way it worked was right clicking on your selected fleet and you got a little menu

Wiped out 9 Hard Aggressors by using Politics to face them off and an epic economy as well as a kick ass culture. Throw in a few Novaliths I let the pirates survive cause their so damn useful. I only had to actually take on one army cause I made the others fight each other and then finished them off. The last army I hit and ran killing their planets while distracting their fleet and then hunted them. I won after 5 days of play (not non stop XD) without upgrading my Flee

Really? Ok what I meant is the starbases would stay intact mostly and look kinda cool. I hardly notice any wreckage so I'm not talking about those tiny little black things the size of a fighter. I'm saying the wreckage would be recognisable as what it previously was before destruction.

Here's another suggestion from me (*crowd sighs*) how about we be able to fire tactically. What this means is your fleet attack as normal but if you right click your ships you get 3 options to attack: Hull (Default just shoot at it) Engines (Less damage to overall health but will slow down or stop ship. Good for getting retreating enemies) Weapons (Does much less damage but may temporarily knock out a ships wepaons, or one of their

Bring my beloved Haegemonia back to the table. Spies were invisible unless detected in this and they had multiple abilities which increased as their rank increased: The Spies would have to float in position and would have a chance of the mission you give them succeeding depending upon their level and toughness of the mission Steal Money Get Planet Information Get System (Grav Well) Information Get Empire Information

Right so I've been comparing Sins to some of my older Space RTS's and I've come up with this. Why not (like Haegemonia) have Capital ships and starbases leave wreckage and there would be random fields of it. This wreckage can then be harvested by a scavenger you build which you can direct or autonomously build. This would mean we get cooler looking wreckage and fields after a large battle but also a new source of income and a way to keep the battlefield clean</p

I love Sins as a Space RTS and not long ago I played a predecessor of it that I considered to be fanatastic. Haegemonia was a great game but it had a few problems. Hoaegemonia had a spying engine. They were about the same size and speed as an Arcova scout frigate. When detected however the AI would always send their spies cascading off on the z axis into the distance so far up at such a speed no ship could catch it. Now I've noticed in Sins enemy forces ar

EpicLulz could you rephrase what your arguments are please? Ignoring the comments of those above and arguments about the first post and what ever else just say what your point is so we can get back on topic.
