Robots would kill Space Ponies (although having pink capital ships with unicorn stickers would be awesome...)
me too...maybe if you Novalith'd a planet enough times (dependent upon the type of planet), it should turn into an asteroid field
you know, i really wouldnt care what kind of faction that they could add, as long as it is cool and very fitting for the game...
perhaps on locked teams that the culture would be beneficial, but in unlocked team games, you should be able to convert ally planets (maybe with a -10% penalty)
you know, one of the concepts that i love the most is culture, and all the things that it can do for you. but i have some ideas that might make it even better.... 1. culture should affect your allies, if an ally's planets are bathed in your culture, they should get some resistance, but not much; they should be able to lose their planets like anyone else 2. perhaps for the Advent, once you research something (tier 6 maybe), instead of rendering a p
ok, thanks!
i think we need a new game mode! like an "assassination" idea, if the home planet (which cannot be moved) is taken down, that player loses
its just that i have never heard of a .ogg to .mp3 converter, and i wanted to see if there was one that actually worked...
shared...that would make for some interesting battles (as your teammate takes all of the resources) [e digicons][/e]
ok, idea, as a downside to being allied to everyone, i think that culture (yours and theirs) should be unhindered if you are in an alliance. your culture has no hinderance in your ally's territory, and vice-versa. also, i wish that modding was easier, like putting it all in a different format. im tired of being told to do 37 or so steps before i can change something. lastly, the ability to put bounty on your allies. this might seem counter product
any specific programs you have in mind?
is there any way to download the music?
the robots (or wherever this thread is going to) should have a backstory that makes you want to play as them. that is why i tried to make the story of them wiping out their makers and then feeling sorry for it believable. Their goal is to redeem the legacy of their makers, not be souless creatures that's only objective is to kill (or an experiment gone wrong, that is cliche too) Not only do they need to be believable, they need to be cool (im not saying converting every
its because it is overused that i have suggested it (and besides, Sins needs a reclaiming faction). the other factions are also cliches, so the robots would fit in just fine...
i really hate it when a new faction is just a carbon copy of another, no, i think that they should be individual. not some "THEY ARE GONNA BE THIS COMBINATION OF THE OTHER THREE FACTIONS!!!" getup, when i said that the robots should be able to steal the some of the parts of other faction ships, i didnt mean that they would be a soulless amalgamation of the other factions. The robots should be a very unique faction, extremely different from the others.
Diplomacy is coming out! i want to pre-order it now! maybe the Robots can be a part of Sins 2, it would make a good story (i just hope that whatever is chasing the Vasari isnt a race of bunnys, but plant people would be kinda cool...)
i like this idea...but keep in mind, that the point of this idea is the fact that they are robots...

now that i have played Mass Effect, i can see how they resemble the Geth (thoose guys are cool). Any other ideas?
i had this idea, as well as having the 3 basic tech trees, the robots would also have bonus one, it would be a "or" tree: there would be 3 additional trees, but you could only pick one to research. so the 3 bonus ones would be: Combat: things like weapons, armor, and shields would be boosted Economy: they would get a bonus to metal/crystal production as well as a bonus to culture spreading and culture's effects Empire: this would enhance the buil
some of these ideas remind me of a game called "Seven Kingdoms 2: The Fhrytan Wars"
