From what I've read in this thread it's my opinion that Fistalis is NOT an "entitled gamer" However the reality of DD is that the company providing the service could go belly up and that would be the end of the account access. So far the more likely problem is the DD can be sold and the new owner may not do things the way the old owner did them. Entitlement, to me, seems to come out in examples like.... Sins Trinity becoming available on Steam and customers of the Impu

Who is the entitled gamer? I've seen the term thrown around but I've not seen the definition. What do they feel they are entitled to?
Got my key!!! Early pre-order! I iz so excited! Come on work clock! Make it 5:00 PM already would ya!!
Quoting BFroberg, reply 25So glad I preordered. A shame I couldn't get it on Steam though Rebellion uses Steamworks, so it doesn't really matter where you get it. It'll be in Steam once you install it regardless.
Will Steam users be able to activate and download the beta via Steam? For example, grab our code on the Stardock store then activate and DL on Steam? Whatever

http://www.piriform.com/defraggler my favorite. You can run a full or partial defrag. I usually use partial. Quicker. I also like that I can let defraggler turn my PC off when it is done.
@pacov The TV show Hell on Wheels had a short clip from next season.
Shane accused Hershel of knowing Sophia was in the barn and Hershel told Shane he didn't care what he thought because Hershel did not know. He thought maybe Otis put her there before he died. Hershel told them all to pack up and go.
Thank you! Well I'm sure Ironclad was sick of hearing from me to change my login or reset my password so everyone wins. [e digicons][/e]
I want to own the game and install it when I want. The game's advertised features should work upon release and if there are problems they should be repaired within the month. Developers are alienating fans by releasing crap and hoping for the best. I'm done pre-ordering anything once my Rebellion order is done.
Well, i cannot test it... the game was uninstall long time ago... have buy it on matrix game with a extended download time ( 1 year ) in 2009... it was the first place who have release the game... and i cannot download it anymore today... well, i can download a pirate version and use my legal serial but i don't wish...
Contact Matrix support. They will make it possible to download it again. <a href="http://www.mat
I have both. I really like Armada 2526 with the Supernova expansion. Armada is 19.99 USD at GamersGate vs 29.99 at Matrix Games. Armada plays quickly and straight forward like Sins does as far as the tech tree. There are 18 unique races to chose from and each race has at least one additional faction. They each have unique victory conditions and war is not inevitable and can be negotiated out of.
Good news! This will grow the community for when Rebellion comes out. Will I re-buy? Ehh we'll see.
A quick battle game to quickly setup a skirmish ala Gratuitous Space Battles. Spy ships like Haegemonia but not as over powered. (not able to blow up space stations or capital ships)

I really thought IT supervisors, and officers had a lot more influence in corp life than, they, apparently do. That's a sad state of affairs. nevermind. I've got it figured out. I think.
I had pre-ordered Rebellion but my credit card changed and the old one is invalid now. (note recent change to Impulse pre-order charge policy now.) So I've tried to pre-order Rebellion again but cannot check it out because of the recent split with Impulse and Stardock. So what now? Are Trinity owners going to be able to get a discount on Rebellion? Will Rebellion be in my Impulse account if I do?
I checked out the Ironclad Games website. As of 17.12.09 you can pre-order Trinity. Yeah, things are kinda quiet.
It's a simple supply and demand curve (Economics 101). The people willing to buy the game at $60 dollars are hit first until demand runs out. Then the price is lowered to hit the next level of targetted demand which wouldn't spend $60 but are willing to spend $30 or $40 dollars. Then eventually the game goes on final sales to tap out the rest of the curve. If they just set the price at $30 dollars they are quite frankly missin
I'm seeing a very significant boost in video performance. I'm running it on a computer with just a built in Intel video and normally set the game to default settings for video. But it seemed to be running so smoothly I tried setting everything to highest and increased the res to 1280x1024. (I might have ran it at 1280x1024 before but can't remember) Anyway it still is running silky smooth. Great job guys and gals!!! <img
To get the discount I had to order from the link in the original post. https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/store.aspx I had to log in at sinsofasolarempire.com It won't discount if buying using Impulse. I know that might not be everyones problem but maybe it will help a few.
Pre-orderd. I'm looking forward to the beta.
Yep. The choke hold is tightening. I find myself buying 1/4th the gaming software I used to for the increased hassle of stupid account set ups for single player, and all the DRM ridiculousness.
God me too. I though nothing of buying 2 to 3 games a month. Now I have no idea what new hoop a publisher will want me to jump through just to play a game that I bought. It has made me very cautious and wary of buying new games. I've slowed down considerably. Hey thanks for savin
Well there's the fact that the boxed version of Steam games still make you install Steam, which totally kills my primary motivation in getting boxed copies. Up until recently, my internet was pathetically slow, so installing off a disc was always much, much, much faster than the 5+ hours it would take to download a game. Plus there's the fact that the boxes don't say they require Steam installed
I like Steam but I have to agree it doesn't make much sense to sell a box
