Thank you BCXtreme. The utility is very simple to use and has a clean slick UI.
Consequentially, Matrix tends to spend a lot more time getting their games right before releasing them.
I hope this applys to DW then. Armada 2526 didn't seem to get the same treatment from what I've read.
Bullfrog! Populous II!
No I hadn't seen the art. I checked out the "Intro to the races" thread since you mentioned it. I'm impressed. The art looks great. Funny though I was still used to the "place holder art" like the "seal" looking race or the "hamster" race that I just thought "Oh well they are a small developer" so I wasn't too excited to check the pictures of the races until now. They look really good!
Thanks for the update. Sheese now that there's a release date I'm rather suprised at the whining at the Matrix forum. Oh well. I plan on buying DW as soon as released!
I'm thinking a netbook could run it of couse. What I wonder though is if you could set the resolution to make use of the odd netbook settings like 1024 x 600. I threw the demo onto a thumb drive and ran it on my wife's netbook. And I'll be danged 1024 x 600 is supported!! I'm getting more into this series so I think I'll get TA. I've been playing Warzone 2100 more also and I'm really enjoying it. Also SC and SC:FA
Anyone try TA on their netbook?
If they're upfront about it, I don't see the problem. They shouldn't be denied income simply because Ubisoft went crazy.
I agree. As long as I'm informed, they can do whatever crazy BS they want. I wouldn't want Impulse to drop Ubi or make them mad by dropping select games. Ubi could change their mind about DRM in the future and then decide to pull games from distributors that rebuffed them.
If you like VAIO you might take a look at this model VPCF115FM/B The good. i7, 2.8GHz, 6GB memory installed, nVidia GT330M with 1 gig dedicated memory and up to 3831MB shared. needs improvement 500GB drive @ 5400 rpm
Thanks for the reply. I saw this listed. "• Greatly improved AI turn time on large maps. " That sounds good! I'd heard you could go make a sandwich in between turns before.
lead the way for other classic games like this being added in the future.
Ooo I like the sound of that! Independence War
Thanks. I'll wait until that's patched. I'm a save early and often player.
I read elsewhere that you can't save a skirmish game in SupCom 2. Is that true?
Are they still haveing problems with nVidia cards as of patch 1.02? The way this game is described it sounds like a beta release.
That was fast. I'd feel better about it if ACII and SH5 weren't in the top sellers list for this week on Steam. I don't want to see the game stolen. I want Ubisoft to suffer bad sales and PR.
No. Diplomacy requires Entrenchment. You need both to play Diplomacy.
Would you rather we don't post @ all?
Well no. I wouldn't want that either. I guess my index finger won't cramp up too much scrolling past the game threads. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Or ctrl + left shift + tab
But to go back to the trying issue, I chose to buy Sins because it had what I call a 'good demo' and here is what I mean by that. The demo really only restricted playing time, but not much else. If I remember correctly in the demo, while you could only play as one side, the evil TEC, you had access to all their upgrades and ships. That is what I want to see in a demo.
I'd have to agree with this. All the web articles I read about DRM used Sins as the example of a great
I would like to be able to see recent posts when I log in in the morning without having to scroll past a dozen of those off topic game threads. just saying.
Use the Entrenchment shortcut or Diplomacy shortcut. If you run Sins though you can select Entrenchment or Diplomacy at it's main menu.
I've named my Akkan: The Love Boat KOL: Hyperion Dunov: Galactica Mazra: Agamemnon Sova: Enterprise (in honor of the WWII carrier)
I like this feature. Yeah it's an ad but It's nice to see the game in action and have features shown.
From the AC2 page "UBISOFT MAY CANCEL ACCESS TO ONLINE FEATURES UPON A 30-DAY PRIOR NOTICE PUBLISHED AT http://assassinscreed.com" Good god almighty! And they have the gall to charge $60 USD for this?!?! Maybe we should just turn back the hands of time and require quarters to play the damn game. KMA Ubisoft. You are now banned from my home.
Another note about planets and the "total planets" given at the top. It adds each of the planet groups totals together. Then each player on a map gets 3 planets added. 1 Homeworld, 1 asteroid, and one ice or volcanic planet.
