I did a search to try and find a recent topic i saw regarding mines but typing mines into the seach bar on the forum is not a great idea. Anyway Why does the game have to render the mines ingame - those of who you played entenchment early on (was it a beta?) will remember the TEC AI went mines nuts and having loads of mines in a game can really slow it down. Thankfully this has mostly been fixed - mostly :) Have minefields as a negative ef
This would be bad as it would be unfair towards someone who was a Rebel Advent.
Not really - if you where playing advent you could just choose to play with them on. If you where playing online ask the host to change the game settings and if they dont host your own or go a a game with settings you prefer - as its always been with online gaming
The funny thing is that they can also strip Dead Asteroids and turn them into Asteroid Belts. Which leaves the enemy without fortifyable planets in the long run. They can still mine the resource asteroids that are present there though.
now thats interesting - i cant wait to play a 10 player game where all the players are whichever vasari faction eats planets
I found the AI in diplomacy the best...The AI here is still in beta - Theres allot to it because titans and corvettes have changed things ive noticed if i get a titan behind enemy lines (just rush your titan by the eneenmy fleet and travel a few systems back if you get to say their homeworld they ramp up corvette production and you could have 40 or so corvettes attacking your tita which is a very human way to platy) Also the AI had 10k to throw at
Kostura Cannon needs a longer phase node effect, or fleet cohesion needs improved. Seems that all it takes is for one or two of your capital ships to get confused by the swarm to not make it in time, so all of your frigates and cruisers go in without major support, resulting in a loss.
I agree
Id like the 5th Race to be an as yet undiscovered race that resindes within a cluser of Dyson Spheres (single player sins2 campaign enemy ofcoarse)
i left galaxy forge running and had 139 auto saves .... Also please dont take offensive but i did prefer the old interface. @ gundamit - teams and spawn planets settings are all correct ye? are you playing with AI teams that contracdict what you may have selected (if you set starting lccations/starting teams in your map)
No sorry Ive been dying to play as them - i havent tried to mod the game to let me play them like a few others - i figure ill wait - I did use the vasari titans in a custom map i played They said they would giveus a few days notice of any updates to keep our save games.... The last update was around the 5 or 6th of April when they added the Advent - i had hoped the Vasari would be the 5th of May - ie this friday but with no post warning uis about our save games
Hold position and auto attack off isn't the same thing. What probably happened is the titan needed to finish firing the volley and all the armament on the way was enough to kill the ships, even though the titan was about to stop attacking.
ive repeated this several times and you are correct - i had an AI flagship on low health and turned off my weapons all ships stopped but the titan fired a good 6 or 7 more
Agreed again ive raised this issue and so have two other posters - it makes no sence to have all these comic book flasy lights and colours - make it a passive abality or a 1/2 second flash (like advent telekenitic push maybe) so its not obstructing the gameplay
the more options a game gives you the better. RTS games 15 years ago would let you choose the tech level. I used to do allot of modding which was mostly parameter editing but i have never undersood why some games dont have these simple choices - thecouple of years of cnc games from EA is a great example . It must be difficult for the devs to add to a game because very few RTS game devs actually put the options in - i loved the way supreme commander would let you restrict individual un
sorry but TAR is the TEC rebels biggest weakness - you dont get the XP and when you encouter another player or AI with leveled capital ships its all over for you
I don't have any regular or recurring issues with Steam... There was that downtime few days back, but that was like the first time in a year or so. As for being intrusive... how? You can deactivate that pesky overlay and make Steam ignore chat messages (if you have set up a steam user profile and added friends) or notifications while you are ingame. In which case Steam isn't at all noticable while playing. (sett
I think allot of my posts start with sins is great and it is can you or can you tell me how so edit the game so i can also slow down the speed to -8 as well as speed it up to plus 8 ?
best way is to have an option costs say 5000 that you can remove all mines in a gravity well that you have colonised - makes sense the planetary sensors can detect them
It would be pretty overpowered if you started with a titan at the start of the game. Its just a bit too powerful. So an expendable flagship unit that's equivalent to a mid level capitalship is a much better choice.
No no :) A titan as flagship would weaken the titans status ingame - although it might cause TEC rebel to rush from the get go - destroy an advent player quickly
i fight to the last man - more fun playing a game you are likley to lose - i quit AI & online games when im winning - but your safe .i dont play online that often the last few games i have played against 8 ai - ffa AI have been fun i build 2 colony caps and send them out into space exploring the map - i build nothing in my home system - eventually pirates arrive and destroy while my homeworlds mines but i keep exploring - eventually&nbs
i was keeping the XP for a cap ship - titan xp means feck all once you have money you can just keep buying titans till its at level 10. cap ships you have to be careful not to lose them and them gaining xp safely
- TEC rebel titans weapons are auto firing even though i have it set to none auto attacking edit: it stopped after about 12 or 13 seconds - but still destroyed several pirate shits i didnt want it to
6 factions = the biggest even game you can have will be 6 players im playing a 9 player game now me and then the 4 factions - 2 of each allied. with the beta 3 or final game id like to play a game with teams locked involving all 6 factions but for the teams to be even - 12 player game (id be allied to one of them) Is there any chance the engine can be edited to have a 12 player game please 2v2v2v2v2v2 because i only play even games. Why - &nb
This does not happen every time but has not happened in any sins game before but has happened twice in the last 24 hours.. When i alt tab and then go back into the game the view spins a complete 180 - very odd - same mouse and setting ive had the whole beta 2nd issue is the occupied planets (when occupied victory is turned off) no longer have any ships at them - just empty worlds. They made for ultra pirate bases / a great source of late game XP
i got it on a map i made myself but thats a good idea - i dont play too many of the maps that come with the game to get all the artifacts i kinda cheated i make a 2nd start with 80+ pirate bases and that was that - AI does not may them too much atttention :)
Quoting Tridus, reply 4 Quoting Humility, reply 1Yes, it's better on and off rather than limited, I need to spam tec superweapon in single player in very large map and many hard a.i when I getting tired and want to end battle soon, tec superweapon answer call but only not set limited, 4 won't do a job in large map. Isn't that a sign of a different problem, namely that the mop-up phase of the game takes too long on large
I dont like the limit as i have said in other threads i have not built any cannons since rebellion started because i dont use the advent or TEC ones. Its the threat of the TEC one that forces your enemy to spend what 6000 credits per system to but in SB's and enforced loyalty - on a small-medium map where you have 16 worlds we are talking one hundred thousand credits to defend against novalath - you dont have to build the novalith and your enemy has t
No changes needed on existing achievements they are all doable - ive had all but 1 of them in every version of sins (the only 1 i have never got is the one you get by buying up resouces from other players) New achievements needed like win a game without losing a titan or capital ship win a game without losing a single planet win a game without building a superweapon or starbase the tricky ones are win a geme without the civ
