I did take a peek at Distant Worlds (It's so easy to mess up and type "distant stars" instead...) And it looks interesting, but the art style is very dated and I'm not sure if I like that price tag. The video for distant worlds (I typed stars again...) had one for "StarDrive" on the youtube side-bar thing, and that game by contrast LOOKS much better, but the reviews aren't as good. Has anyone played StarDrive here, and can put in their 2 cents?
I love Sins, but the game play feels somewhat limited to me (very combat-focused, movement around the maps feels very constricted to me). Maybe it's because I've just been playing it for so long, idk. I also don't like the fact that it minidumps on me whenever I try to have 4 or more players or more than like, 40 planets in a game. I'm looking for a space-empire game that has a bit more freedom of movement so it actually feels like you're exploring a galaxy,
I've been messing around with making my own versions of mods, and I suddenly received a minidump. I've played several games with my mod, making slow changes to it overtime. But i had just made several tweaks, and then the minidumps started. Is there a way to find the exact cause of a minidump, without having to go and recheck every file in the mod?
I've been trying to make ways for Refineries to be better than they currently are. I have tried two main ideas: 1. Give refineries a weaker version of the resource focus ability that the advent trade port has, that doesn't cancel the refineries structure work. 2. Simply improve the amount of resources gained from refinery ships. I can't find the refinery values, nor can I figure a way to make a copy of the resource focu

Sometimes when I go to make or edit a mod, the entity information is displayed properly in a list, like this: Shields Hull Slotcount antimatter But sometimes, I get a mess of text like this: ShieldsHullSlotcountantimatter How can I fix this? Is this a formatting issue with the files themselves?
Yeah, that would help. Or just an "empty" mod that doesn't have any actual changes from the current version of trinity.
Yes, I've tried making a mod by just assembling all of Harpo's files, but it didn't work :/ Do I need more than just the Game Info folder?
Does anyone have the basic Game Info, mesh date, etc that someone (me) would need to make a mod for the latest version of SOSAE: Trinity? I've found the reference data, but I get a minidump whenever I try to make a mod out of it.

I'm installing through a disc. I am using windows XP.
When I try to install Trinity, I get a message that says "fatal error during installation, cannot verify that this program is compatible with Windows XP; this program will not be installed" or something to that effect. Help?

HI I've bough and played the original vanilla sins on my old, crappy comp and enjoyed it. Now, I plan on getting a newer, better computer and play Sins Trinity on it. I have bought Trinity from my local walmart. Now, I don't have entrenchment. Let's get that out of the way now. If a mod involves entrenchment objects, will it still work withou entrenchment? If not, what objects do I need to edt/remove from that mod in order to get it to work?
My computer doesn't run the game as well as I would like. Hey, I can't get a mod to work; I get a minidump every time I try. I may be missing something in the reference data. What folders/files do you need in a mod for 1.17?
I keep trying to get my mod to work but each time I try to enable it I get the minidump error. I'm running Sins 1.17 on XP. I'm not sure what the problem is, the game works fine without the mods. Is there something new that we have to do to get mods working since 1.16? Is there new reference data or mod requirements because right now all I have in the mod folder is the Game Info folder (BTW, is that folder supposed to be named "Game Info" or "GameInfo" ?). Pl
Does anyone know of a mod that simply increases the Strike Craft Capacity for Carriers AND works with 1.16? I've found several mods but none of them work and cause the game to crash.
