Here's an idea I formed reading some of the thoughts in this forum: Add a new "artifact tech tree" that any player can GAIN access to when they do one of two things: 1) Find artifacts on their planets (more artifacts = more research options, and options are unlocked based on the artifact you've uncovered) 2) Establish an artifact research pact with other players (as in, their artifact grants you the access and vice versa) T

Carpet I thought you were better than this. No need to burn these bridges you'll have no one to play with.
Drama. Drama is happening here.
That idea has already been proposed and ignored by the devs.
Your bold font and 100 foot long quote box make your point unassailable. You have won the internets.
Quoting Mr_Book, reply 17but if it's a nerf like what they did to SttC Strip to the core is balanced now. I fail to see why you think it is over nerfed. In it's current state it is still one of the most powerful Rebellion features added to the game. It's no longer abused though which is a good thing.
In theory, perhaps. In practice, it is never used in skilled 5s games.&n
lol good point, didnt notice the necro going on.
I am happy that a nerf is coming, but if it's a nerf like what they did to SttC they will effectively remove jumping starbases from the game entirely instead of tuning them into a tool for VR players to use that doesn't unfairly offset the balance of the game. This is why discussion would be helpful.

You know Yarlen, a bit of discussion on why some of the ideas that people that actually play the game competitively online have are NOT what SD wants to do would be great. It's easy to feel ignored and dismissed sometimes when no reasoning behind skipping ideas A, B, and C to go straight to D (that no one has even suggested on these forums) is given.
Please Moo, for all of us, please get a job that prevents your use of the internet.
Ya on any given evening you'll find about 150 people online and 2-3 games up. You may wait for some time (15-30 minutes occasionally) for a 5v5 to fill up but we still play.
I'm not a skilled player but I always build carrier first. It is pretty squishy but its heal and fighters help the SB rush quite a bit. The colonizer is preferred generally though and is probably the better way to go. I'm just stubborn and refuse to be skilled.
You left out a few digits.
I disagree.
And yet they are the only thing propping up our economy.
We all appreciate the work you are doing Slow, but in the future please allow participants to voice their opinion before you do something like this. You've been great about that up to this one instance, some of us are just frustrated that the tourney disappeared so suddenly. We'd all like to see this thing grow but to do that it needs stability or people just won't join future ones, fearing it's going to just disappear again.
We are living in a house of cards and the wind is picking up.
Step 1: buy Rebellion
Reflex I do appreciate all you are doing to organize this, but I think you may have ended the tourney prematurely (did you really end it already?). People's schedules don't always match up very well, but perhaps you can put a time table of like 1 week per round and any games that have not been finished are forfeited by the player who has not made a good faith effort to make a game work. Clearly there will have to be mediation and exceptions but I think as a general rule th
I was expecting a giant shark to appear out of nowhere and eat the game, kids, table and room in a single massive bite. That would have been more accurate and, dare I say, more entertaining.
I do think there are definite fixes for all 3 of these abilities that could "tune" them into useful but balanced abilities. SD went too far with SttC imo, it used to be the autowin strat for VL and now no one uses it because the devs took ALL the suggestions to nerf it and applied them when only 1 or 2 changes to its use would have greatly curtailed abuse of the ability. So, since its monday and I haven't yet committed to real work yet let me throw my 2 cents onto this dead
And to answer your question, yes. Easily.
