Yikes.... anything slower than "fastest" feels like slow motion to me.

If you build 50 carriers and fill them with bombers it does not take long at all to clean out a gravity well.
Teun told you how to kill it. There is no better way than massed carriers. If you are playing TEC you can mass orgovs and do the job, but as vasari your bombers are your biggest damage dealers. Feel free to ignore the advice if you want and keep smashing your "mighty armada" against it in futility.
Hm, has this been tested and confirmed?
Starbases have no antimatter until you give them certain upgrades.

That's true... though in practice I'm not sure I've ever seen an AI taking over from anyone other than a complete noob be in any way a good thing. Usually it's an immediate "gg"
I was responding to your assertion that AI taking over for an econ player is somehow a huge problem, not debating the merits of spamming in the face of AI. Of course they will outspam any human player, and I doubt greg was advocating a spam war with AI, his point was to illustrate that there is in fact some sort of advantage the AI gets when taking over from a human in MP. In fact, just a couple posts later he states he used SB to hold them off.
I'll see your 1.5x advantage and raise you a single supported SB for the AI to smash themselves against while your titan and caps level up enough for you to steamroll them.
AI doesn't feed. It's a wash
So what's the plan for adjusting VR to not be banned anymore? And wail? VL titan?
And I thought we had such a wonderful relationship Yarlen! [e digicons]
I'm going to offer a slightly different perspective on this and make a crazy hypothesis: A single player campaign would both increase the MP player base and increase the general skill level of new MP players. Allow me to explain. A single player campaign that builds from smaller to larger solar system/planetary set ups would ease new buyers of the game into the various aspects of play. Limiting the available research to that which allows a new buyer to explore the diff

You had me right up to "immense" then you lost me.
I'm actually quite concerned with Miya for a different reason. Do you say her name "Maya" or "Meeya"? I can't sleep until I figure this out.
that would be bad, because it doesn't act to weed out crap stuff. thus killing the idea that it stops dev making crap even if there's no market for it
That's a silly statement. If a dev puts out a bad game (cause of course there are NONE of those out there) don't buy it, there won't be a market for it, and the devs will learn and put out a better product or they'll go out of business. Whoopie reprising her role as Chewbacca. Good casting decision!
Often people lack tact, but take heart Frogboy, the motivation for the comments/complaints/insane rantings comes from a desire perhaps as strong as yours to see the game grow in positive ways! That someone takes the time to write anything (good or bad) regarding a game you have produced it means they care. You guys have an amazing product in Sins and I certainly would love to see the franchise continue to grow and SD to be successful well into the future. I assu
Ranking systems are easy. Basically everyone starts at some base rating and then gain/lose points based on the respective ratings of their opponents. Playing AI would recieve no points, and I think you would have to factor in your allies ratings into the equation so noobs dont get silly rating boosts because they are teamed with Auqia, as an example.
Now you just need to find someone that is better than you that you can learn from Anhpp. Not an easy task. :-)
In the last two days I beat Anhpp in a 1v1 and Grimm in a 1v1 AND a 2v2 using SB rush. Anhpp is certainly a better player than I am and Grimm is at least my equal. So yes, SB rush is extremely powerful, and perhaps uncounterable if you don't immediately take the necessary steps (if you go econ first rather than fleeting you may be screwed).
Cerunas you seem to have a good handle on MP from just watching replays.... you should give it a try I expect you'll do pretty well and you seem to have the capacity to learn and improve.
