Lazward and slowreflex, add me as a friend (Mr_Book) and look for me on steam. I usually play after 8pm EST (GMT -5). If we are on at the same time I'll play a 1v1 or two with you and give you as much knowledge as I have to give.
I'm just warning you that this guy is a little... eccentric. I'll also be reaching out to some of the new mentees and mentors tomorrow and trying to play cupid
We did a 1v1 yesterday. I talked him through basic early-mid game strategy and had him record the game. Haven't heard back from him but he seemed ok. Of course I have no idea yet how much of what I showed him he too
Auqia has sixth sense regarding which decision to make at what time. He can "feel" how game progress. And that makes him best.
He sees dead people. (his opponents)
I haven't been impressed with Gabriel&Dresden the couple times I've played with him. He doesn't communicate, and quits early and often if he doesn't think the game is going his way. D.Angel is a nice guy but like myself I'd say not quite at the top china players level.
Raizzo. Newish player (a few weeks I think), learns very fast and is always improving. Solid tier 2 with lots of potential.
Now if you can beat Viscious without a SB....
Moo Sephei I am on generally the same time frame you are, add me as a friend and I'll take you through a couple games and show you the ropes. My steam name is Mr_Book
I was using hyperbole with my statement it is the worst ever, my point being there are a LOT of areas for it to improve. I also play(ed) SC2 and before that I played it's beta, SC a LOT (10 years of beta testing and all we get a couple new units and slightly better graphics? come on blizz!). SC2 is a rush contest that has one winning strat per side and if you don't follow it exactly in time and execution you lose. I don't call that well rounded, I call that
How to in at sins rebellion? it's laughably easy right now: Step 1: Choose VL Step 2: Build Vorastra Step 3: Wipe out pirate base to level Vorastra Step 4: GG you win, doesn't matter if you opponent has bigger fleet, better tech, stronger econ or whatever. Because you have the ultimate wall with 3/4 attack defense orkulus at your borders, and a t
So a game that lasts four minutes and the first person not to click exactly the right button at exactly the right time loses is a much more polished and well rounded game? There is no subtlety in SC2, its Dance Dance Revolution with zerg. Yes, ICO is the worst online interface in the history of gaming, and yes there are some imbalances still to be ironed out, but this game provides so much on both the tactical and strategic levels it continues to have me coming ba
Finally someone gets MY obscure movie reference!
Oh wow, big fail on my part. Now if it was a BOOK he had referenced....
Zombie is that an attempt to paraphrase the conversation I posted above? For anyone that might think otherwise.. the conversation he posted did not occur, I have no idea what JakeMac is doing, but by his own admission he IS doing SOMETHING he doesn't want people to know about.
And like you, Candido, any "trade secrets" would certainly be news to me. I enjoy a game that is skill against skill. I dislike a game that is rigged. If Jake is doing nothing shady then good on him, he certainly has become very, very good at this game. If he is cheating because he likes to win he should be shamed and shunned in MP.
If I'm wrong about Jake I'll be the first to stand up and apologize for it. I don't ever assume my loses are due to anything but my inferior skill, knowledge, or execution. I don't often (or ever) throw this kind of accusation out and I am only saying this in this case because, as Spock teaches us, if you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be true. I don't exactly know what Jake is doing or if he is doing anything at al
Was in a 5v5 last night and ended up next to JakeMac (opposite teams). We go back and forth for a while but he seems to always be outbuilding me and ends up winning. Our teams were fairly even and I don't know how much feed he was getting (it seemed like a LOT the way he is spamming fleet). Immediately upon quitting the game I MD'd (haven't seen one of those in a while, in fact the only I've seen is the one JakeMac caused on purpose in his earlier "tests").&n
Zyzyfer I appreciate the apology and accept it, but I certainly caution you to pay attention to in-game chat. You had no planets for a LONG time and the in game chat is white text in the top middle of the screen. I told you about 15 times that the game was over and it was time to quit. I will give you another chance, just remember that kind of behavior is about the fastest way to get blacklisted and booted from future games.
Howthe you move yourself back to tier 0 RIGHT NOW! I don't really care though. Honest. What are we talking about?
I will check this evening when I get home.
My pleasure... is your steam name LordDaem?
So last night in a 4v4 Zyzyfer was the last player standing on his team and his HW was destroyed. 2 other players had already "gg"ed out and were being controlled by AI. Zyzyher, however, refused to leave, forcing us to spend about 45 minutes clearing out the AI's, nor would he even respond to anything said in game. I don't know if he just tabbed out and was surfing the internet or what, but if you read this Zyzyfer understand that is extremely rude and will get you
I think it's actually on by default... but in game go to your settings, one of them should say "record" or something to that effect. To watch a recorded game go into the single player load screen and click the button below the saved game field (I think it says something like "game type..." forgive me I'm at work and don't have the game in front of me. You have to click that button a few times to get to multiplayer recorded games
Hey Lord, always happy to see a new player enter the fold. Stay positive, and try to learn something new every game. Pretty soon you will be the one making some new guy wonder how you owned him with a huge fleet before he got 3 planets. Best advice I can possibly give you is this: don't shy away from games against skilled people. Make sure your autorecord is on, and when you see a player dominate a game or use a strat you'd like to incorporate into
Retirement social security is what you describe. Disability is different. The vast majority of recipients haven't paid in remotely as much as they receive in benefits, that bill is left for everyone else to pay. And by the way we've already past the point where people who actually work and pay in their entire lives into social security will NOT receive back even what they've paid into it after they retire. You can call me a troll but I was simply re
I suggested a course of action and gave specific reasons for it, and even prefaced it with an understanding you might take offense to it. Then I followed it up with a discussion of game specific observations in response to the last comment in the thread that actually referenced the game. You responded with insults and threats. People get so upset at the suggestion that they don't deserve a hand out of other people's money. I'm sure your situation an
