When you are able to recite strings of quotes in order. ...Like I do. ^_^
How about a 6th caps for every race?
Sounds more of an addition for another expansion than a patch. I have another suggestion; use some of the unused songs in this game's soundtrack. It's a shame playing TEC and only hearing half of their themes.
So....if someone beat 9 locked Unfair AI on a single star huge map without using starbases, I want to see the replay. Not because I believe it is impossible, but because I'm a noob and need to learn how to play.
Get two Marzas, level both to level 6, and activate Missile Barrage. It's probably the only viable way. ;)
^I would give you Karma, but yet again, I was late.
The unit balance with the latest patch has improved considerably. LFs in particular have become more resiliant to LRFs, so now a fleet of LFs and Scouts can take out the older LRF and Flak fleets for early-game battles. Flak doesn't kill Fighters as quickly anymore (So Fighters aren't a waste of Antimatter), but still demolish LRFs. Now, battles aren't entirely LRF-dominated, but they still are very powerful. Online is much more fun with the changes. ^_^
I just meant that its a much better investment. 360 v. College girls fawning over you; pretty clear decision there.
So... It'd be better getting the 360? ^_^
especially after they hear them nag............................. jp.
That may be the way for TEC to defeat the Vasari invasion. XD Now I can see some really lame sitcom about the concept... Now showing; Ann and Yoblark. *Enter Yoblark* Yoblark: Ann, I'm back! Have you done the dishes? Ann: Where have you been? I've been slaving *Cue laughing* here for hours, and I bet you've
Regardless, the price it takes to buy a couple Hanger Defenses and upgrade tactical slots to accomadate these will be cheaper than upgrading SB Hangers. Also, tactical slots are never really at a premium; Repair Bays costs only 2 slots, and a few of those and Hanger Defenses are all needed when it comes to tactical slots.
I would give you Karma, but you're part of the Empire.
Except that for each upgrade of SC hangers for a Starbase, just buying two Hanger Defenses is cheaper and provides the same amount of SC.
I would give you Karma, but I replied to the wrong post.
Let's try not to think about what kinds of pleasures and favors the Vasari men would get from human women.
Physical labor. I doubt the Vasari would care about anything other than 'get back to work!'. ;)
I highly doubt that planetary bombardment kills everyone. Sure, the Novalith will cause enormous civilian damage, but just consider this; how would the planets be able to recover so fast? I've always thought that when bombing a planet, the attacking ships specifically designate governmental targets, in order to reduce casualties. The population dropping is a result of killed supporters and those abandonding support of the planetary government. And planet HP more represents resistance. So by t
I don't see your aversion to the Vasari pulse gun. It benefits the skirmisher and starbase and is cheap to research. If you're using skirmishers (it does happen, for instance against carrier massers) this is a great one to have.
The problem with Pulse gun research is that is only affects Skirmishers and Starbases. If you need many Skirmishers, then it is a great technology, but otherwise, just seems a b
Allow AI to use level 6 Capital ship abilities. Would make single-player that much more better. ^_^
Chuck Norris' roundhouse kick has the affect of a Novalith, Deliverance Weapon, and Kostura on a planet. And that's when he's not trying hard.
Just replace the theme with a different song. It's far better having Entrenchment running with the original Opening Theme on. ^_^
You have a lot of Cobolts, which are extremely effective against support cruisers. You might be able to send a bunch of them to attack the Subverters and Overseers, which will cripple the Vasari enemy. Also, they work against carriers, too. ^_^
As TEC, I always try to get the Terran population upgrade, Modular Architecture, and Metal Mining upgrades first, in that order. Military-wise, getting HP and Armour research are essential, and the Missile and Autocannon researches are also worth getting. I usually don't bother with most of the Civilian or Defense trees, and on the Military Branch, the laser and beam upgrades aren't exactly stellar. With Vasari, getting Phase Missile upgrades are essential, while Pulse Guns, Pulse Bea
I would give you Karma, but I'm just too lazy to press the button.
@Sword I played primarily AOE II: The Conquerors. The starting scout was pretty weak, but the light cavalry upgrade was very cheap and quite effective against archers. Figured that was the best comparison I could make. End of the day I still love the little buggers.
Yeah, the Light Cavalry upgrade is pretty great and is pretty much a good comparison to SOASE scouts. Of course, by Imperial Age,
Stop saying the fact that a scout can fight is bogus. There are games like rise of nations where the scout does nothing but scout and games like Age of Empires where the scout is a fighthin unit. Scout to me translates to lightly armed, and that's exactly what scouts currently are.
To be fair with Age of Empires, the Scout was upgrading in Age of Kings to become a combat unit, especially with upgrades to
Check out the stategy section of this forum for any help. There's tons of topics that will help in virtually every situation. Most people play random, and many of the pre-made maps aren't exactly perfect. There's a Galaxyforge compilation that's worth downloading; it comes with 50 fan-made maps, and all of them are worth playing on. ^_^
If they are based on insects, I'd bet the Vasari have an open circulatory system and may lack nerves. I bet a lack of nerves would greatly improve the Vasari warrior culture. After all, a lack of pain would result in more determined warriors. Imagine stabbing a Vasari and if it doesn't die, there's little flinching! It would be pretty frightening to fight a foe that cannot feel pain.
Modular architecture can help, but if you're going Akkan it's not quite as necessary. It'll cost you about 1450 credits (just off the top of my head) to buy both levels, and this means you need to place 15 extractors for it to pay off. The real savings is actually on frigate factories, which you want to build to establish a beach-head near the enemy.
The factory cost reductions are also extremely useful. And until
