Another note on Vasari Phase Missiles and why their shield-negation has a low percent of activation. Looking at their military research, their 'Phase Miniaturization' technology indicates that Phase Missiles are a very new weapon for the Vasari Exodus. This lack of research also indicates why the missiles have only a 30% maximum chance of shield-negation.

Do you "own" your copy of sins? (don't be ashamed if you don't) I do have a store-bought copy of Sins. ^_^ Do you own entrenchment? No, though I will likely buy it soon. Let say you were to divide you time between Vanilla and Entrenchment sins, what percentage of time do you play Vanilla or Entrenchment? 100% Vanilla, obviously. ;) Roughly how many hours a day do you play Sins (either)(count mutliplayer also)? Usually a

Maybe then the colony frigs would have some point and it would stop the retarded krosovs-colonize-jump-krosovs-colonize-... mad rush. It's stupid that all you need to do is kill one siege frigate, click colonize and fly away, leaving the three heavy cruisers, 5 LRFs and 4 gardas in the orbit. While playing single-player, I noticed a bit of a quirk with my AI ally. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/Socialsalmon/Explorey.png I never realized that ships other than a scout can use Explore. Along with the Cobolt, a few Gardas and a Cielo were also set on explore. It probably isn't that important, but pretty interesting to see. ^_^

How would the United States be able to afford public health care? We're already hundreds of billions of dollars in dept, and of course raising taxes on the rich probably won't be enough. Also considering our enormous obesity rate, I'm just not sure if public health care would be sustainable at the moment. Though of course, this is from someone not entirely educated on the subject... >__
Fiction: Logically speaking, the science of Phase Missiles seems pretty strong. However, questions remain as to the effectiveness of the weapon. If the weapon can shift into phase space, why cant the Vasari sit a fleet on their homeworl and fire Phase Missiles at targets in other Gravity Wells, thereby removing any threat of retaliation from enemy forces? If the weapon can bypass shields, why not the hull as well? A few, well aimed missiles fired at the B
For the Sova, I agree most of its abilities are crappy when it comes to fleet support. However, its level 6 does indeed have a use and its really in the mid game. With this ability the Sova becomes VERY versitle. Meaning, you jump into a gravity well and your SC are set to fighters. Oh look, not a single bit of enemy fleet around. Scuttle the fighters start the bombers building, hit the level six, and great googly moogly you got a s

The Skirantra and Vulkoras certainly seem like good enough ship choices, while the Antorak would be great in larger maps. ^_^

I'm not saying anything about Vasari, since I haven't played enough of them to know much of their capital ships. For TEC and Advent, however... TEC: 1. Dunov Battlecruiser I do seriously believe this closely matches the Progen and Death Egg in their benefit to a fleet. It's abilities are just incredible overall. EMP Bomb is fantastic for masses of enemies, and especially when against Advent. Shield Restore and Flux Field pretty much ensures that no capital ship will di

It was a joke. ^_^ And my mistake on pulse guns, sorry. Though seriously, wave upgrades need to be dropped far lower onto research. Only affecting capital ships and one combat unit is too few units for a tier 4 upgrade. Even lowering it down to tier 3-4-5 would improve wave greatly. ^_^

Illuminators currently counter Kodiaks in sufficient numbers. With Vasari and TEC, however, Bombers and your own HC are still the best way to coutner.

Asteroids are considered planets, and can be colonized. Use your frigates to attack the enemies surrounding the asteroid, then your colony frigate can colonize it. With the ice planet, you have to research colonies for it by building at least two civilian research facilities. Just make sure to destroy the surrounding enemies before though, or their siege ships will bomb the colony.
Well u missed the part where building SC would no longer require AM, and Flak efficeincy agianst fighters would be reduced... Also I would probably be in favor of removing most of SC building penalties. And the Carrier would be far cheaper to produce to begin with, it's the Squads that would fill up the rest of the cost. But everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess even not liking my ideas. Just wanted to point out your concern

And I think any future change should reflect this line of thinking. Im thinking since Carriers take up so much fleet supply: they should maybe cost less by a lot. And isntead add cost to strike craft. Strike craft would no longer need AM to be produced (repaired) but you would get an ability you can research to repair st
I'm more or less saying LRFS need to be balanced into their Flak would be the problem child if the LRF's were nerfed. Flak can already kinda beat them. A nerf would make it so flak clearly beat them.
However, the increasing roles of Flak would likely cause LFs to become far more useful, as they'll have a purpose again in combat. I'd think that it'd make more balanced fleets. ^_^
