Open Rebellion: Never liked any spawned attacks from out of no where. Losing the planet instantly is a double NO NO to the devs.
But it is realistic, not like the rebels want to bomb their own homeworld, killing billions of people.. It's like in the past the former colonies would bomb their own lands to dust instead of declaring immediate independence from the French or other powers.

I FOUND THE 11TH ONE. A mad Vasari titan is marauding the system. A level 1 Vorastra (maybe it could also be a Kultorask next time?) appears at the central stelar object and it belongs to Mad Dark Fleet Remnants, a new neutral faction (grey), and it jumps and searches for battles.

Still I find this to be not that much.. It is very easy to ignore it in the heat of a battle or if another sound is being played (like the player's titan is finished at the moment an event occurs). Same problem goes for the sounds assigned to titan things, easy to miss.

And still only the 3 new stars get into central position in warfare,

In the info card for example?
Yes, it would be good, but recently there was a thread, here, to address this problem somewhat: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/449969/page/1/#3416029 The events need a POPUP WINDOW.

And where is the 11th? :D That is the only one I have not seen so far and I am really interested what it is.. BTW thanks for the list, it will be useful for many players :) The gamma ray burst is severely annoying, it is too bright, is there any hope that it will be changed in the future?

I find it to be quite disturbing and disappointing to have no new maps for the Stellar Phenomena DLC. It is of no use to have several new awesome neutrals on the edge of the map or deep inside someone's territory, so they will never have that much effect on the game's course. Putting these in central positions like chokepoints would do what the DLC is supposed to do, make these new things a center of some battles, and not totally basing this on luck. Same goes for new star types, on s

I have a bigger concern. I am not losing any of my planets to culture (i am not stupid to let this happen..) but still they kill my worlds. Is it tied
For example, my game is experiencing economic upturn - what does that mean?
It is not that hard to find out :) Economic upturn is not invisible, just hover over one of the colonised planets anywhere in the galaxy and you can see that it has increased trade (+70%) and increased credit income (+50%).
played a game but nothing unusual came up..
Strange, economic upturn (more credit income) and it's counterpart (less credit income for everyone) is common, occurs about once in an hour as I saw it, And instant rebellion is quite opften as well (you lose the planet immediately and a bunch of REBEL ships appear, even some capital ships, but only on planets you took from a currently dead player I guess). There are moving things like the moving magnetic cloud do
Is there a better starting strategy?
You seem to be doing the right things. Just do it more efficiently, faster I mean (if you can defeat Hard AI without relying hard on a starbase I guess you are fast enough). AND place a starbase under your opponent's nose, with a small fleet you can defend until you build a titan. Until the base is built staying alive is a hard task, but after that it's piece of cake, just don't lose the starbase and you ar
helmet + shield = 6672
Well, you clearly don't understand how things work in Sins. One does not simply add these two numbers. It's like adding a potato to 100. HULL, I guess you wanted to say that, because helmet :D is not existing is Sins, maybe in an FPS yes (the thing you put on your head to protect it from damage), but in Sins it's hull. And adding the two numbers is incorrect because shield points mean much less than hull points,b

Look what Frogboy wrote, "...fun thing...", I don't think a simple new planet type can be that much fun, I guess it is something more complex, maybe new planetary abilities or something.
