I have an entire star system under my empire's control, and the two other factions have the same. I have 8 envoys (one to a planet) for each of them, and can get all my pacts for each of them, but "Their relationship with you" is still in the negatives and there are no incoming envoys. My relationship with them is between 11 and 17.

Before the Diplomacy 1.01 patch, the AI sent envoys when Diplomatic Victory was off, which was good and made sense. Now, they don't. Which, to put it bluntly, is rather stupid. Unless my game is just messed up, that is. Is this the same for anybody? And if the devs are reading this... change it back please! [e digicons]:'([/e]

I play a lot in my GalaxyForge-made map with the Sol, Alpha Centauri, and other star systems map, with Earth and everything, so there's a lot of story there. I always imagine Earth as the sort of run-down place but the capital of the human's empire, Luna (the Moon) as a major spaceport, Mars as an industrial center (with lots of factories and refineries and mines), Venus as a research place, Mercury (as the planet with the sole phase lane to Sol) a fortress/minefield (which it is, lol

I want to be able to invade planets with troops rather than bombing them from orbit simply because I like playing as an empire that is far too righteous to kill civilians unnecessarily. [e digicons]:P[/e] Really though, the ability would add to empire character and add to gameplay in conquering worlds. That said...
Pssh, I want more death and misery. 1. New planet types -- More variations on existing types, plus more types. Barren, Oceanic, etc. 2. Terraforming -- not a mod, but would certainly be cool. Think: Desert > Desert-with-water > Terran > more-lush-Terran. 3. Brokering peace among other empires -- would be really cool, and not require much work; just a few tweaks to existing Diplomacy such as the addition of a "Send envoy to...

Er, yeah, that's not a mod either, but I'd like it!

Micro's point still stands, Wraith. The logic behind light green's decision was that he saw you had killed green, were going after yellow, and after that all that would be standing between you, your giant fleet, and galactic domination would be him. So, he declared war on you in the hopes that he and yellow could hold you off. Makes perfect sense to me. That's what I would do if I were light green, anyways.

I agree. I also would like to know what exactly a "Diplomatic Victory/Loss" is even supposed to be. It doesn't make any sense. I think that "Diplomatic Victory" should be when you manage to get all players to form peace treaties with each other. So you get to play Galactic UN for a while. Of course, to do this you'd need a "Send envoy to..." mission option.

I could easily bust up your scallywag turret pirates with 2 TEC Marza Dreadnoughts with Missile Barrage, Matt. [e digicons]:P[/e]

Is there any clever way to try and get two empires that are at war with each other to stop fighting? The only thing I can think of currently is paying them to send resources to one another. I think that there should be a "Send envoy to..." mission option!
Quoting coinich, reply 10Is it possible to create a new space structure that would increase the alegiance cap? Not the cap so to say, but if you have entrenchment (or diplomacy) you can make a structure that has an ability to increase the maximum alligence at the particular planet it orbits.
That is, the starbase, no? I hadn't thought of the auxillary government...
