Technically, the devs read the forums anyway so it's already here, however, I'd suggest posting this on Deciever's Stat Changes thread for best effect. If nothing else, people will explain why it can't be done, but that's one i believe will stand out to them since it's all suggestions. -Exile Ascendant
Can I have the link to that? I'm not sure if I'm able to find the right place. [quote who="starwarsw

Here you go! This method will convert ALL the files to text, but then you can convert them back to binary with the same tool. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/353296/page/5/#119

I personally love watching an enemy planet being purged of Vasari scum via nuclear fire, but that's just me! [e digicons];P[/e]

This thread is to post your fantasy/custom map empires. Are you Human, Vasari, Advent? What's your empire called? What's your empire's history? Are you more aggressively/defensively/economically/scientifically oriented? How does your empire handle other empires? Here's mine! -- In 2100, the people of Earth finally consolidated their first global government, the United Nations, unifying their factionalized race. Their pre-existing Lunar and Martian colonies were the new
Just reducing/removing the alligence penalties across the board is the only thing you could do.
Which file do I need to do that?

When you're playing a map and you colonize a planet in a far-away star system, its allegiance is low, and has little hope of getting very high at all. I think it would be neat, if you could have something called an "Administrative Planet"; that is, something you pay for like "Designate Capital Planet", except you have your normal capital planet and this administrative planet in the far off star system to keep culture levels up in that system.
except you cant rotate on the spot in a car... whereas in space it should be absolutely easy what with the no planetary gravity and thrusters and whatnot
Yeah, you can rotate 90 degrees while moving 1000km/h in space, but you'll still be moving 1000km/h, sideways now. That said, the stupid things ships do is annoying. What do you mean turned off the Z-axis? I never noticed a change.

I think the best way would be a simple ability or ship that launched little pods (like the colony pods that come out of TEC colony ships) and took a period of time to conquer the planet, which would be mitigated by indigeonous ememy ground forces (and all the while you see none of this, just as you see none of the normal colonization). If you have enough troops, you win the planet with some damage to infrastructure and population based on how long the battle took (but a lot less than scrubbin

Sure. Though, seeing as how Ironclad scrapped the 3rd expansion, I don't think they'll do this. Unless, they add it in Sins 2, if they do that. It would be really cool.

I know how you feel guys, these problems can be really, really frustrating. Here's my best guess at fixing it. Sins leaves some files behind in C: > Program Files > Stardock Games after uninstalling. Uninstall Sins, then go there and delete any left-over Sins files. Then reinstall Sins.

It's kinda difficult to make a *good* game with both of those elements. What is realistic, though, is the ability of capital ships to send down little pods of marines to take control of the planet without infrastructure/population loss (but takes much longer than planetary bombardment). It's a bit crazy that you have to commit nuclear genocide every 10 minutes in SOASE. "What's that? Enemy planet is defenseless? BLAST IT WITH NUKES!"
