I'd also prefer this game to be developed further than to rush into a sequel. What is this "diplomacy", though?
RestlessMind
Bump. Isn't anyone interested?
...amazing! [e digicons]\o/[/e] I love that dreadnought. [e digicons]:P[/e]
Oh, I see! Thanks everyone. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Okay, so here's what happened. Enemy Argonev starbase at I assume to be the highest possible armor and weapons upgrades as well as a couple bomber squadrons, and support from an Akkan battlecruiser. In short, a direct assault by one level 1 Marza, 20 Javelis LRM, 6 Hoshiko, 8 Ogrov, and about 8 fighter/bomber squadrons didn't go so well. The Marza was destroyed in about 10 seconds and after the shields had fallen on the enemy starbase he activated some kind of ability that sto
Sounds awesome. I've always wanted to try and defeat/colonize a pirate base. It's the bounty that gives you enhanced income, right?
"The Vasari are running away from Chuck Norris" Best one. [e digicons][/e]
What? Nobody reads the Google page title? [e digicons];P[/e] It might mean that it's the first before the expansions, since they do have some lore involved, but I think a sequel is a more likely answer... especially due to the success of this one. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
This sounds interesting, yea!
Sins of a Solar Empire is the next generation of real-time space strategy and the first chapter in an epic sci-fi saga.
What does it mean by "the first chapter"? [e digicons]*_*[/e]
Oh I get it! XD
quoting post I just want to say that this is my favorite video game. It's that awesome. Sinner! Sinner, sinner, sinner! ... Sinner. Going on almost 2 years playing the game, starting with the betas
[e digicons]>_>[/e]
RestlessMind: by culture, he meant that the TEC, when in an area dominated by its culture, gains an antimatter regen bonus, the exact number escapes me now. and grg is gauss rail gun, an ability of the kol
Ohh... BTW what do you guys mean by nerfing something?
Not really. MB deals 150 per wave. If I remember right, this damage is dealt to all enemy ships within the radius per wave. Now, with 25 waves, you end up with 3750 damage per enemy ship. For this reason, it is great for taking out frigates, decent versus carriers, poor versus caps, and negligible versus an SB. All the armor and mitigation an SB has reduces the usefulness of MB by a long shot. Lets say the SB in question has 20 armor (for easy math)
Culture+Finest Hour+Flux Field+GRG=Lots of dead enemy caps. The Culture and FH regen AM pretty much as fast as you can use it, the flux field makes GRG WAAAAAY more efficient, and GRG is well, GRG. 800 damage per 6 seconds. Technically this is what happens... GRG AM Cost: 75 GRG AM Cost /w FF: 25 Culture+FH AM Regen: 4-5 AM/sec. In other words, you are regenin
The big red button is awesome. A question: is the missile barrage good for assaulting starbases?
What kind of balance problems?
Lol! I don't play a whole lot of games, but this is by far my favorite, yea. [e digicons]^_^'[/e] Space empire RTS are my favorite genre and this game has everything.
I just want to say that this is my favorite video game. It's that awesome. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
That makes sense.
Has anyone ever tested the Finest Hour ability on the Kol at all? What are your thoughts? I've never really had a chance to use it.
Your points are valid. You're right, the Kol is awesome. First of all, it looks like an enormous fish with cannons. [e digicons]:dur:[/e]
Well, you know, being a TEC player and all, I liek it. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Lol thanks Extremor! I actually think it's great. I don't think they should change it at all, for one reason: it takes FOREVER for you to reach the upgrade level/antimatter reserves to use it.
I mean seriously, the Marza has got to be THE single most badass ship in the TEC fleet. Once I knocked out an entire fleet of 30 ships on online multiplayer with it. Now that is just awesome. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
