Played TEC Rebels for the first time today..pretty neat. I eventually got steamrolled by the AI because I didn't know what techs to prioritize, but they are fun to play. As far as strategy, I jut rushed their awesome diplomacy techs that allows them to get free units from the pirates. This gave me the biggest fleet, but I expanded too quickly and couldn't defend all my ground. Anyway, what should I prioritize after that, you think? Defense or offen

Tec Loyalists: Expand as fast as possible, and then fortify. Build your defenses to a point where the enemy just keeps breaking his fleets against you. That's what you want, a war of attrition. Once you have your titan, you can start doing raids on poorly defended planets. Expand slowly, and use your Novelith to weaken the enemy from afar. Also, naturally, you want to build 2 star bases in all key grav wells, and use the Big Red Button to destroy entire flee

I built a quick and dirty Brown Coat titan model in ZBrush that came out @ 8k polys. I think Zbrush will work fine Sins models. There's really no need to subdivide more than twice here. I'll ask Major Stress for the poly limit of each ship class.

Sounds like a great idea, especially late game when you've maxed out on cap ships. Gotta spend all that loot that you get from terran planets somehow. I really like that the cannon can't be built unless the player holds 4 worlds. It makes it a late-game super weapon again.

Ok, thanks. Since most of the detail comes from the texture, I think I can get by with using zBrush at the very lowest subdivision levels. I'll have to check. The thing is, its a lot faster to work in Zbrush.

Here is a map for it if you wish to use it. I'm going to remake this map since I think, unless I'm mistaken, the "verse" is one huge star system. Also, I think this was last updated for Entrenchment.

Awesome, looking forward to it. If you are in a system with a yellow star, you can fly your fleet into it and restore your shields. Man, I know wayyyy too much about this game now.

You conveniently left out the Preacher. If I was writing a show, I wouldn't want you watching it. Don't judge a show by its characters..judge it by its entertainment value. All of those elements come together to form a theme and an ambiance. I guess you prefer black and white characters, rather than shades of gray. @ Xathos, you are ignoring the realities of the TV and movie business. Just because something isn't as commercial as something else, doesn't mean it isn't great. Great shows like Firefly get cancelled and muck like Andromeda stays on for 5 years because most of the TV audience are stupid, and don't want to have to do any kind of thinking. I think if you watch Firefly with an open mind, you'll agree that it was victim of network stupidity. If that show were just being developed now for HBO or Showtime, it would be huge because of how much grittier it would be.
