Three supply points is my guess.

The real problem is that they improve minidump and lag the game, so maybe the solution is raising supply cost to 3.
In Homeworld 1, Cataclysm and Homeworld 2 (to a lesser extent) it was the rule that matches between expert players would seldom go beyond frigates. Actually in Cataclysm and Homeworld 2 in medium/big maps you could see destroyers and cruisers (the equivalent of capships here). Light ships are strategically useful in many ways, and to me, who played those games in the past, it isn't quite strange to see swarms here too.
Notice: I wrote gravity wellS. Corvettes, if implementable code-wise, should be able to jump defensively. But IMHO, corvettes are already balanced. TEC corvettes comparatively suck. I did a little experiment days ago: in the same task (attacking a neutral planet) with the same micro, the same number of TEC corvettes lost 11 and took more time while advent corvettes lost 5 and took less time to execute. Infact corvette spams are less effective with TEC already.
You might consider limiting the mobility of corvettes to owned gravity wells, so they can't be used to rush.
No nerf: corvettes are effective only early, and they make for very intersting interdiction forces vs rushes. No nerf because that's what they are supposed to be: patrol craft.
Poor them if I were to teach them...
Yes, after informing it's cool. Of course minidump sometimes is widespread, which makes passing judgements difficult.
Just don't keep experience. Why should they? Does the crew resurrect? The other suggestions are just... nonsensical.
I dunno, it seems to me advent is perfectly capable of dealing with TEC loyalists, Titan abilities included, although I have to concede that in the recent instance my titan was higher level (just one or two levels). Infact, it seems advent really rape TEC, from what I can tell: they are a Homeworld swarmer's dream come true.

Well, I remember other games, where the amount of negativity is lesser: like Shogun 2, Homeworld 1, Cata and 2 (although the balance was difficult to maintain), etc.
A someone who has a liking for Sins, I have to point out this issue briefly. Multiplayer culture and good attitude are lacking in the Sins community, in the Rebellion beta: the purpose in the Beta seems to be acquiring the highest number of wins. Veterans who brag and insult, are an issue, but a minor one, compared to quitting games when the action is still going (and thus leaving the other participants with whatever remains). Overall, if someone cares about the quality of matches in mp in re

It's April 1...
Advent seems actually a lot stronger than in Diplomacy.
I hope they resolve this soon, it's hampering non-veterans like me (who don't have old acquaintances with whom to play on direct connect) from participating in the beta in multiplayer.

What chases the Vasari? It will be something which eats and merges and consumes, like the Beast or the Borg. Arrogance? Do you mean pride? Also, there is no way that the Vasari are sloth - if they were lazy, would they have an empire than spans the galaxy

It will be something which eats and merges and consumes, like the Beast or the Borg. Something irrational and chaotic, as well: this is why it doesn't focus on the Vasari, primarily assimilating and consuming all it encounters.
It simply tells me I have an outdated version. I have 0.75. Suggestions?
Just give them a shield emitter.
Of course, why not.
Well, after a few days of experience, I have to say two things: 1) the general attitude of veterans is quite funny (as in, borderline/disturbed). But at least they play well. There are exceptions though, like cilverBUG, and others, who are very polite. 2) too many people who set up large maps in 1vs1 to have the time to rush titan. So, the game is nice, the beta multiplayer suffers.
I have only played solo until now. Is that a good sign? My opponent seemed fairly experienced. Also, why so few people in lobby? I hope this is going to get better!
