The VL Titan is only grossly overpowered if you only allow it to get to level 6. The Advent Rebels Titan is much more powerful and relevant at all levels.

The biggest issue is that you are investing way too much into capital ships. You should really only stick to max of 2 capital ships with the exception of the Titan. Frigates are your main supply of damage. The fact you only have 20 means that your damage output is pretty pitiful even with a Titan. Capitals and Titans have to rely on abilities for damage. It should be like 2 Capital ships to like 100 Frigates/Cruisers at leasts
[e digicons]8C[/e] Blasphemy. Trekkies and Jedis together. On a serious note. If true, I am bit more eager to see how this will go since I personally liked Star Trek 2009. It was good for an sci-fi action film which is what Star Wars is more about rather than Star Trek.
It's actually pretty saddening that THQ been taking so many hits for just a few silly things. Also, is Ironclad even interested into making a Homeworld 3 for any reason atm except monetary?
I've never seen this before... And the game is slow enough to catch your mistakes and fix that "build order" of theirs.
They already limited to 1 per player before and everybody backlashed against it calling it too much of a nerf. Now it's 1 for every 4 planets or something of the sort.
They tried to do that when they first concieved of the game but they realized that it would horribly hard to even adapt it for any form of gameplay to be fun. Besides it's just a sci-fi thing. I mean Star Wars has hyperspace lanes.
You picked the wrong genre of game if you're looking for short games.
It's pretty much they just gain insanely higher income as you progress through difficulty.
Pretty much what Protoplazm said but expect to be die horribly the first couple games.
While I am no artist by any means. I believe artist, especially game ones in general really enjoy in bringing out their ideas into reality and creating their own world. With such an infinite canvas, why wouldn't you go in and try to bring as much detail as possible
How many times is this thread going to necro?
Most of the mods at the moment are still in development process for Rebellion. Be awhile before anyone has a finished and refined product. Pretty much it's a waiting game at the moment though some are playable like. 4x Enhancement mod Sins of a Galatic Empire Requiem Distant Stars Fall of Kobol Just look in the modding section for ones for Rebellion or head to the Moddb page.
The big oversight you had is that you allowed the Titan to reach level 10 especially an Eradica one. Again as said before having a titan get to its late game is pretty much unstoppable by design especially if it's a human player owning it. Pretty much the biggest counter to any Titan is to kill it before it becomes such a huge treat.
Frigates are always the better choice over the second capital ship usually in the multiplayer setting. STTC is still very viable in multiplayer especially if it drags on into late game but not for making yourself completely mobile. Rather it is for a scorched earth policy of not bothering with defending newly captured planets and just stripping them.
Christmas Sale.... oh god...

This isn't Rebellion where there are Titans runnin around with massive AOEs that makes missile barrage cry to kill a significant Fighter and Garda complement. Most players including me after so many years are pretty much in the agreement that the Kol is worthless to build nearly 90% of the time. Again the only time it's worth it is for bomber spam and flak burst but that's about it. Fighters and Gardas as well as good micromanagement with Colbalt light frigates can render

You just need a tablet with Windows on it to make it work.
[quote who="Ekko_Tek" reply="8" id="3247795"]Quoting Rovert10, reply 7Marza is okay but pales against Sova, Akkan, and Corsev. I see quite a few Tec players go for Marza actually in a frontline spot. I'm guessing the reason is purely for Missile Barrage at lvl 6 and for the better planetary bombing to steal planets from you early game (this is really effective actually, been on the receiving end enough). I think some players even buy a level or 2 on them in order to get to 6 fa
Sometimes you don't even need to deal with militia if you're in the eco slot. If you want to just colonize as fast as possible you can just run a Akkan with like 10 corvettes to kill a siege frigate. Colonize then place a few turrets to mop up the rest of the militia. As for capital ships. Most only get 2 capital ships unless you are Vasari Loyalists. Kol is worthless, never build it. Dunov shoul really be used pairs with a much more po
Depends on the faction for type of fighting style on the front. For the longest time since the Entrenchment Expansion the TEC have been the ones digging in and doing WWI style trench fighting lore wise. Vasari are essentially the Guerillas here fighting and jumping around all over the place. They are the most mobile. Advent are just a standard invasion force so to speak. Of course a lot changes when they factions split into their loyalists and re
