I haven't played this game in a few years, I remember playing professional matches with a bunch of the regulars back in the day. Is the multiplayer community still alive here or has everything kind of dropped off?
MayallCommunion
Would be nice a lot of us invested so much time into this game its time we saw it expand.
The answer is. Yes.
I am honored to be the androgynous witchtroll of the SINS community. My personal life has just been a giant rollercoaster this past few years but I try to stop by the SINS forums every so often. And when is this reunion?
I miss this :(
Quoting GoaFan77, reply 6I'm sure the Advent have learned to teach the young to suppress such thoughts and serve the unity in whatever way is necessary, totally unquestioning of whatever it orders. That is actually specifically mentioned in the manual...
Well I dont see an all for one philosophy as that bad. A lot of the time their sacrifices are for the greater good no matter how extreme the cost. I
Who the hell are these people?
The one thing thats bothered me about playing this game for so long is that no matter what when you are in the Offensive position you ALWAYS have something to do this is building your fleet, expanding, and keeping your Eco player safe. When you are in the Suicide position its about protecting your self. Starbasing your territories and making sure you dont get owned to early on and become a annoyance for your opponents. But Economy has always lacked for me, you expand and build T
I think Greenhouse in this game means Jungle Planet.
Should only be allowed to jump into friendly territory
As the story of sins progresses we can definitely see the impact that the Great Enemy (As I call them, the Vasari's mysterious enemies). It wasn't till diplomacy/rebellion that we saw the races unite through Diplomacy to either stand or flee from the invaders. There was supposed to be a code that would hint toward who the Enemy is but to my knowledge it was never found (Can anyone elaborate on this). Now we have Stellar Phenomena which includes two features that I hypothesize hint tow
Good stuff Stardock I got the wiki updated now with all the new "stars" and Planet Types just trying to get the stellar phenomias in screenshot :)
About a year or so ago I was made admin of the SINS wiki, I did a lot of overhauling on the primary pages with the most traffic and since then it has seen much improvement. However I cannot do this alone merely because it is so much information and so little staffing. It took me about 3 days of nonstop (except for sleep and eating) to get the entire Advent page (including the ships/abilities/upgrades) fully functioning. So what I ask is a handful of volunteers to help me clean up the wiki eve
Couldnt he have at least mass colonizer rushed his opponent if your going to troll at least have some class. Totally replied to this thread 3 months later.
Its kind of a cool ship and all but nobody every plays on maps where you are close enough for Subversion to matter. If Subversion did something else aside from its base effect it would be good. While the Sova and the Marauder play two different roles there abilities are almost identical and should be looked at. The Sova offers: Ship build time: 30%/60%/100% [30%/53%/77%/100%] Structure build time: 30%/60%/100% [30%/53%/77%100%] Phase Jump disabled
My body is ready
my thought is that people are whining too much and banning and not searching hard enough for counters...
This is usually said by people who lack any real nerve to just admit that they are wrong. Everyone knows wail is OP along with 6 other things in this game. The balance is shot which is why I stopped playing.
I left because of the lack of balance updates.
While I understand what you are saying I think we can exempt Illums for a few reasons. 1. It will make not all the LRF's useless and add diversity to the game. 2. They are still not cost effective against corvettes. 3. Advent get them at tier 3 therefore they are still to late to actually have any impact against corvettes yours is just theory craft but by the time you have 100 corvettes there is no way the advent will have 50 illums.
Thats your opinion I think stripped is fine now.
"I'm going to make to Rebellion to help normalize out many of the issues related to balance and gameplay. And while I have tried to avoid modifying core game mechanics with the original races in previous versions of SotF, I feel these are such an issue to mod play they need to be addressed." Just expressing my opinion.
Our powers combined...
Stripped: Is fine. Uncapped AoE's: I agree, I've said this since beta B. Wail: Impossible to balance ability needs to be scrapped or reworked into something else. Mobilization: Just make it only be allowed to jump in friendly territory. It fits there defensive theme.
I'll take care of them. I'm sure riddleking will help too
Just replace acclimation with something like a +5% increase too allegiance. BAM they have an economic niche. Its a starter for sure, next would be too fix Assimilated Populace too show what it does in the research info card, and show that its working when you hover over a planets infocard. The next step would be too actually show what planet for a planet does in its research info card, I've played since the Advent were released in Beta and I still have no idea what the hell that ability d
