The definition of a noob is someone who fails to understand the basic game mechanics and/or refuses to learn from mistakes and/or declines the help of other players in those matters. It doesn't matter if you are a singleplayer or multiplayer gamer, both have an equal chance of not being a noob. If a player fails the first few times after being tossed in the cold waters of multiplayer that's usually part of the learning process. If he

It already spiked 1000+ a few times now on both Rebellion and Trinity. The release on Steam and Rebellion hype has really bolstered this community. [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Isn't Wail of the Forsaken meant to effect adjacent gravity wells not the one that you activated it in. I haven't used this ability in awhile, but when I did that was the case.
You need to work a little bit on your english. Scouts reveal mines so your fleet can clear them they do not disable them. The AI have a fetish for Capital ships and the Devs have/are addressing it. There isn't anything currently you can do. The rest of your problems seem to be because you are new. The talked about a 2v1 where a Cruel AI beat you and your friend with 10 Caps plus a Titan. That shouldn't happen unless you let it happen. Corvettes are meant to be
Nice Roleplay when you introduce yourself as "Jon" I like RP a lot personally, but this was way to complicated to get through. I would suggest making it simpler and easier to get into.
Advertisement is paid for by a company trying to spread their games and Stardock/Ironclad are not the richest company. Also, if you haven't been paying much attention to what the vast majority of gamers are into currently it is not really geared toward games that have learning cliffs. Sins seems more of a cult game because of its unique game style rather then mainstream. Most people come to this game hearing of its publicity(reputation and not paid for). "Game of the Ye
This implies there is something wrong with that. I fail to see to problem. Is it lore? Does it look bad? I think it is just a pet peeve of yours.
Good things it's a beta, eh?
Good detail. -Your Subversion change seems way to strong. Game breaking early game. The Vasari DO NOT need a buff to their early game. -None of your ideas can be relevant until well after rebellion is released - so the community can digest the new content. -No comment on Solanus Adjudicator? Also, you seem to be trying to fix ALL of the problems for each ship.
Technically Advent does have the strongest fleet so yes to your last question. Like above taking Meteor Storm kills any fleet.
Apparently a superweapon limit per faction if being implemented.
I believe the AI surrender is meant to save time in an otherwise boring and long galaxy purge. . I agree in concept, but when maps get really large I like the surrender better. It would be nice if both were available .
There are some games that become so popular they last decades... Others by a loyal following.... Sins of a Solar Empire just refuses to die.
tl;dr Not serious. I'm trolling.
Any recommendations?
The argument is basically: How can you judge someone's skill using an unbalanced method? technically, you can't. Honestly, all Sins games are custom games. There isn't any differentiation toward game type and you cannot 'score' people. But, on the other hand the community has created something of a pro scene toward regular and recognized skilled players. Still, this argument has been done to death. Let it
Technically, the Vasari are their weakest mid-game by design. Their an early then late game race. Generally, it's a good idea to try to rush late game as quick as your enemies will let you. Try to stick to guerilla tactics. The Vasari fleet was meant to troll and fight dirty. Hit and run. Avoid full confrontation until prepared. My 2 cents. Oh and use their Starbase offensively if you can. One of the strongest rushes a Vasari fleet can use earl
Well I believe the Vasari loyalist have Starbases that are able to phase jump correct? And their minelayers kind of fit the description.
Their Starbase can move around the gravity well, but not phase jump. OP's suggestion doesn't really work with defensive structures. It would change the way the game is played for the worse.
Player A would lose control of their fleet and planets. They will not move. I do not know if they fight back if attacked though. Player A is kicked out of the game and it continues. Technically, Player A would control the planet, but he cannot win once 'defeated'.
No part 2? :( Nvm found it.
What sucks is that Ironclad and Stardock don't care about their customers so they put out a terrible multiplayer system full of minidumps, desync bugs, and a UI with fewer useful features then a Ford Model T
You do realize you're talking about a beta right? Even if you are refering to Trinity, I have yet to experience a mini-dump and desync tends to be the system of the player before the game itself. I do admit the UI
Problem is if 1 titan kills another its jumps in level would be making it next to impossible for the person who lost the titan to come back.
Beta 3 will likely come out in a month or so. I suspect there will be a beta 2a, but it could go either way really. Asking when things will come is usually answered with: 'soon' = anywhere from now utill the end of time.
I'm a bit different then Halos. TEC - Red/Orange Advent - Bright colors Blues/Purple/Pink Vasari - Dark colors Red/Greens I think Yellow looks good on anyone.
+1 for detail Agree with 9, 13, 14, 16 so much.
