In my opinion, the core of the issue is that Advent have 50-50 shields while TEC and Vasari have 60-40
That's part of it, but there are 2 other main parts: 1). Advent have no widely available hull repair, so every hull damage they take they are pretty much stuck with 2). Their capitalships have less total hull+shields. it's not just the hull:shields ratio, the total points of damage Advent
Okay, I'll admit this game has had some trouble in the past, but it seems like now there's always something people are complaining about. I'm wondering if maybe most of the so called balance issues are just coming up from people who are losing games because they THINK the game should work their way. Take jumping Starbases for example. They probably do need a little tweaking, I haven't actually played with them so I

Neither gets disabled. The Disable only happens If YOU own two starbases in a given well. Other player's starbases do not cause the "two starbases in a well" clause to come into play- It's just a restriction to keep the Vasari Rebel player from having multiple starbases active in a single well- After all, having 2 starbases active in a given well is the TEC loyalist's most gamechanging tech- wouldn't be remotely balanced if Vas Rebels got that capability in additio

What you're observing isn't unique to unity Mass. Against capitalships in long fight, pretty much all damage is mitigated by 65-88% before being dealt to the target ship. The main causes are: 1). Shield mitigation- as ships take damage their shield mitigation rises(you can see it's current value on the infocard). Capitalships can generally have a shield mitigation of 70% or higher. 70% shield mitigation means they onl

In general it depends what you want in a race. The TEC are all about their economy. Their overarching strategy is that they try to force their enemies into a war of attrition where both sides suffer casualties- but due to their strong economy, they can replace losses far easier then the other factions. One of their most notable units is the Ogrov Torpedo Cruiser- Which is utterly devastating to enemy orbital structures, allowing even very
