[quote who="GoaFan77" reply="76" id="3223215"] Quoting stein220, reply 76IIRC, sabotage reactor also prevents ability usage for a small time. Maybe that's worse or better. bilun's idea might give lf enough protection, though (or too much?). .. Bilun's idea would effect abilities from capitalships, red button, wail etc, which is why I do not support it. I'd rather just nerf the damage output of titan abilities across the board than do that, no reason to have it

Didn't realize until just recently that the Dunov's Magnetize ability had corvettes on it's target filter. This sounds like an awful lot of fun- with good timing even if left at rank 1 it could easily be the death of 5-8 nearby corvettes for 80 AM- not too shabby. Always nice to see some new uses for interesting abilities that historically haven't been very popular. Anyone noticed any other unexpected target filters which cor

Maybe instead of boarding it should work in reverse, the pod is used to escape said ship/structure for a bonus of some type. But s

Selfdefeating perhaps but I don't know about "boring". Adding conditions and extra costs for more powerful effects is one of the best ways to create interesting abilities with a unique feel. Honestly between the extra conditions/costs on the corsev's skills and the tremendous amount of interaction between said skills I think the corSev is one of the most interesting tec capital ships. Still fugly though.

hmmm. This would be exceedingly odd. The only way I could see Expulsion having results like that from the entity files would be if the new culture entity modifer was bugged and the buff effect from expulsion were reducing culture ouput insteado f increasing it. This could warrant some testing.

[quote who="RiddleKing" reply="55" id="3222474"] Quoting bilun, reply 30 Now suppose a ship has 75% max shield mitigation. Once shields are down, phase missiles nolonger are bypassing and as a result the full raw damage is affected by shield mitigation. So basically 25% of raw damage is being dealt directly to hull. Note the rate at which hull is being damaged is 20% higher(25%->30% of raw damage) when shields are still up. So For an

[EDIT: just ran a second set of tests in the same format using a modifier Gauss Railgun that did shield piercing damage. Damage was not affected by shield mitigation even when shields were down. This means that this behavior is unique to Phase Missiles and likely is just causes by Phase missiles losing their bypass chance as soon as shields drop(so when shields are down they don't even get a chance of bypassing shield mitigation)]</stron

But the point is after main shields fail shield mitigation starts reinforcing the hull instead of the shields, resulting in it being applied in full to shieldpiercing damage such as phase missiles. Word of advice...NEVER USE THE MANUAL...that's as bad as using the wiki
