In regards to Advent not having an effective counter to Wail, it made me think of a suggestion on a seemingly unrelated topic, the fact that DE sucks. Somebody said it would be cool if DE deactivated the culture centers on the planet it impacted, and I realize that this would also stop wail for a period of time... just thought I'd put that out there.

A thing I've found helpful is you can use Orkies as "planets", giving them colony pods and trade port allows you to keep a decent credit income, though some of you may not like this, seeing as it may or may not fit your definiton of "death fleet"

Hangar Defenses are always good, especially if you are Advent, they have an awesome shield boost research that makes it really really annoying for your opponents to kill your nearby tactical structures. Repair bays are quite useful as well, as they can help keep your other defenses alive. Defense plaforms (IE Gauss) aren't really so great, but you should probably still build a few of them, though hangars/repair bays should probably be your top priority. Make sure to suppor

Usually they do retreat if they're outnumbered badly, or will retreat individual ships that are taking heavy damage, unless its the middle of some huge battle. What difficulty were you playing on?

After a reboot of my computer this issue seems to be resolved. Still very curious as to why this happened in the first place, but it is no longer an issue. Will post again if it happens again.
I was in the middle of a game on Huge Ring as TEC Loyalists when all of a sudden Sins started lagging intensely, to the point the game was unplayable. I have tested a few of my other games and they seem normal. What is strange is every aspect of Sins is moving in slow motion, very choppy. Even the intro and UI are slow. I have already verified integrity of the game cache and it came back normal. Can anyone help?
