That's what I do to, with the akkan cruiser. Akkan is the best way anyhow, IMO. Colony frigs are great for the early parts of the game, but when you go into conquest mode you need to be able to colonize as soon as the last bomb falls and move on to the next target. Very weird its only happened to me this once . For a one shot deal it's more likely it was some sort of control group or selection mistake--I've never seen any sort of behavior like this myself either. If it happens to you again, do post back here and let us know.

it simply wont register that I have it and it wont recognize that I've registered for it on stardock on both computers. it only recognizes the crappy computer. i have also noticed that the ships either ignore the way point or the way point moves on its own I've had no issues with this. Do note that it is very easy to accidentally change the rally point as it currently stands, simply by right clicking somewhere while a planet is selected.

Why couldn't we just double click a unit? Double clicking focuses the camera on the object. As noted by others though, Alt+Click will select all units of the given type.

I've actually had a ship get "killed" just before jumping... it jumped with 0 HP/0 Shields, then began to repair once it arrived at its destination (then died for good in the first shot the defenders got at it).

Auto-ability AI needs some tweaking. One of my Dunovs decided to use shield restore on an allied frigate... Ok. Except for the fact that said frigate was just passing through the system, so the Dunov proceeded to chase it through at least two phase jumps trying to use the ability on it...
