There was an access issue late yesterday and the forum was locked down, it will be getting looked at again today to make sure everyone who should have access does.

http://betanews.com/2016/01/30/lg-g3-snap-vulnerability-leaves-owners-at-risk-of-data-theft/ Of interest, since this just popped up in the news. This is really little more than a stored XSS attack, because LG isn't bright enough to remove or escape script embedded in contact cards. It's only novel in that it's stored client-side in (mistake #2...) an app using HTML pr
Also related by virtue of being vulnerable to infective malware.
Javascript isn't 'vulnerable' to anything. There isn't a third-party plugin with sandboxing flaws as with Java or Flash. The interpreters are native parts of the browsers written by each vendor. And for quite a long while now it's been prohibited in all implementations from local file access, cross-domain DOM access, etc., so it isn't

There is a server issue, we are investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yep, I took it down earlier this month while cleaning up my server, since everyone has moved on from GC2 meta to play with mods or to GC3. It had a good nine year run, but I didn't figure it merited an announcement since nobody was posting games any more anyway--sorry for the sudden disappearance.
I'm curios about Galactic and Nitrous. Kumquat, for example, was built on the Havok "engine". Is Galactic also havok? But Nitrous is from the ground up?
Havok is a middleware suite primarily for physics functionality (they have some other things but that's what they're known for). Many games/engines use it, but they aren't really built 'on' it. There is a lot more to an engine than that.
The update went on Steam first. As above it needs to be packaged for other places (our own included). We hope to have it updated on the Stardock store page this week.

This thread is actually a sticky in the GC2 forums, but if you open a support ticket (link in ID's post just above), support should be able to help with your Sins key issue.
Yep, you did. I was referring to your comment that you waited a long time to post it. There's no harm in posting something even if it is already known, so don't hesitate if you have any other issues. You might be repeating what others have said, but you might also be the only one who noticed the problem.
It was necrospammed. Uvah replied before it sank back where it came from.
You should be able to get everything from the downloads page on store.stardock.com. In particular make sure you use the same email address as is currently on your account here if you've changed it since then. If the key on the downloads page still won't work, open a support ticket and they should be able to help.
Reporting the issue is the first step :) In the meanwhile, the workaround would likely be to stick to resolutions no wider than 16:9.
Yes, check your drivers for updates (video drivers in particular). A spontaneous shutdown/reboot, if it's not heat/hardware related, will likely be due to a BSOD with Windows set not to actually show them; BSODs are typically caused by hardware or driver issues.
Probably running in BIOS mode.
Couple points: - It doesn't work on disks using GPT. Which most newer systems should be using (it's required if you have UEFI and aren't running it in BIOS compatibility mode). - I'd be surprised if booting to the repair console (via windows install disc) and running /fixmbr (assuming it still exists in newer versions of windows) didn't take care of it, since it rewrites the MBR. - Booting from an optical disc will most definitely bypass it. <p
A $2 charge would be an auth hold and is completely normal. It is not a real charge, and should disappear within a few days (time varies by bank). If your card has limited funds available and could not support both the auth and the actual charge, that could cause it to fail. Other reasons for failure could be mismatched billing info.
It is automatically added there when the purchase is completed. Make sure you are using the correct account to log in. If you're still having trouble, contact support and they should be able to help. If your paypal account uses a different email address it may have registered under that, instead of the one you normally use here.
If you log in to your account on store.stardock.com again and go to the Downloads page you should find it there.
Private Messages are, as one might surmise, private . We can't know that there is spam going on there if nobody reports it, and this is the first I've ever seen someone do so. We'd need the userids to nuke them.
It's still there. Might have had something flake a bit and the image didn't load for you.
Why would anyone resurrect it?
Necrospam, you caught it after it was deleted but before the thread sank back into the depths.
They're not using the same email (that shouldn't be possible); your old account is using your ISP address. If you've switched ISPs since then, contact support and they should be able to help recover the account. The forums have used the same account system since 2001, the only thing that was separate was the store accounts. Accounts didn't change when the forum system was switched around the GC2 release.
GameStop bough Impulse a few years ago; your non-Stardock games will be there and your login should be whatever it was here at the time GameStop took Impulse over. If you have any trouble with their app, please contact GameStop support.
