The problem with actual version of the game is that you need all files from a foldder that the file is in. For instence if you chenge lets say gameplay.constants whihc is in the gameinfo follder you need to copy entire folder not just that single file in your mod directory.

My guess is that they don't really know what they will put inside those tools. They just gave a generic awnser. IMHO they are to make reading forums and gathering data on what ppl are willing to do with this game. So we should make a single post where we will clearly explain what we are asking for and how deep we want those tools to go or if not tools then how deep we want to be able to mod the game. What ressource drain ??? What are you taliking about. In HW2 when you were zoomed out enough another model was taking the place. The model with fixed turrets. Besides if they didn't implement it on all ships it is more because of the deadline. Don't forget that IC and SD are just a small team not a huge one such as EA. Some sacrefice had to be made and it was made on animations.

I'm using Sins on Vista 32 bits with 8800 GTX and 169.25 WHQL drivers. I've turned bllom effect and maxed everything out since day one. I didn't experience a single game crash so far and I had about 10 games with each game at least 8 hours of play non stop.

There is a huge issue with the AI in the game. I did few testings and this is what I found. in FFA 4 or 8 players as long as you don't start researching fllet operations and star increasing capital chip limit the AI will simply ignor you and will let you all the time you want to fully research all technologies. In same game 4 FFA the AI will stop research after researching 18 tehnologies while in same period of time I managed to research over 56 technologies. It is needless t

No matter what program you are using principels are allways same. For a frigat start with the box then devide that box into polygones. Create only as much polygones as you need. After that you will have to use extrude, bevel and vertix tools. You will shape you box to the model you want to create. Such technique is called low poly modeling and it is used for games mostly.
