Yeah a really stupid (hopefully unintended) feature.
I think it's intended. At the stage of the game where you have a L10 ship followed by lower level capital ships, it'd be safe to assume that you're dealing with fleets of substantial size. If the XP wasn't being split, you could level up a new cap ship insanely fast. IMO it would diminish the value of keeping your cap ships alive long enough to get to level 10.

I can understand why some do it. Sometimes it can be hard to get a game if someone sees a clan tag or stats much less a group of clanmates wanting to play together. I don't see it as a lack of courage because obviously for you posting negatively about it then you lost and they had no reason to be afra

Still, it would be nice to be able to know if someone is going to be totally boned, in the middle of 4 enemy..... Sometimes getting boned between four or five opponents can make it inte

It's crunch time at work and my brain is fuzzy from lack of sleep. Can someone please explain what this means?
Advent structures now have a max shield mitigation of 60% when under the effects of Shield Bestowal.
What was the behavior before? Couldn't Advent get more shield mitigation than that when within their own culture?

Great interview. I did want to comment on one part, though:
If I were more of a businessman, I would say multiplayer isn't even worth it. However, we basically only play multiplayer, so there is multiplayer because we love it. We're in this because we love it.
Blair, please don't fall into the mindset that the only multiplayer going on is online. I play this game exclusively multiplayer with my friends,

The idea of a "hard" chokepoint in a space game is just thematically wrong, but from a gameplay perspective I think Starbases make plenty hard chokepoints. The premise that fleets "instaheal" after leaving the gravwell is false, since not only do Starbases cause significant hull damage, it drains their anti-matter! That fleet may have bypassed your starbase, but it is now extremely vulnerable. YOu can't just plop one starbase down and expect it to never be bypassed,

I prefer Evochron, especially if you like Multiplayer. That being said, I only just purchased X3: Terran Conflict two days ago. I'm still trying to configure it correctly for my joystick, grumble. The joystick configuration for that game leaves a lot to be desired...
Ha, maybe I'm not as crazy as I was starting to think.. Nope, TEC and Vasari turrets still have no shields and 0% mitigation. An Advent turret is now roughly equivalent to a capital ship in effective hp.
Is that bad, though? Compare their turrets to that of TEC. TEC turrets get rocket pods, beam cannons, etc. Advent's just... shoot (albeit for more damage). I'm primarily an Advent play

Leonon, It's not pure profit on every sale. You have bandwidth and overhead for each sale as well. While I doubt the distribution costs scale like they would with physical distribution (and Kryo seems to acknowledge this), it's still there. More sales equal more servers, bandwidth, etc.
