I wouldn't say your Core 2 Duo is obsoleted by the i7, especially depending on what your main computer usage is. Core 2's stand up quite well in gaming. Frogboy, I agree it's disappointing that MS is still supporting 32-bit in Windows 7. For the latest and greatest OS, there's really no need to keep supporting an ancient architecture. If people want to run 32-bit, XP does a very, very good job of it already. 64-Bit has been around for years and years. I

For graphical changes only mods to be compatible with reguler SINS games. I.E. I load say Balkinknight'S grahic mod witch looks awesome and i can still play online with other people who are running no mods. Ofcourse this should only work for the visual eye candy and none of the game mecanics.
I think ev
Between impending Entrenchment and Demigod beta releases, I bet Impulse is burning up with refreshes. I know the forums are from me alone.
I'm pretty sure what we're going to see in Beta 3 is very close to final. I'm sure they'll patch up the release version with any glaring issues that are discovered or last-minute fixes that didn't make the B3 cutoff.
Awesome, thank Yarlen! When will this Beta patch be available?

Many of the support capships, especially Advent, already do this in some manner. That's one of the primary reason I've always been a fan of the Advent, their CapShips have bloody fantastic auras!
I believe that cap ships should have more health, and do more a damage. They are cap ships, and a lousy dipshit frigate flotilla shouldn't be able to take down even a level 1 cap ship. 10 cobalts have the firepower of a level 4 Kol Battleship.
Offhand, what is the resource cost of the 10 cobalts vs the capship ( I don't have the numbers on hand )? Also keep in mind that the group of 10 cobalts, you
Hello all, I have a question regarding the release of the Entrenchment mini-xpac. Are there going to be any plans for a bundle package of Sins + Entrenchment via Impulse? I was just curious, as I have a friend who is looking to pick up the game once Entrenchment goes live. Not that it's a big deal or anything, what with Entrenchment being only $10, but I thought I would ask anyway :)
Great list there, Brad. Let me know how #5 shapes up and you can bet I'll be picking that up! As for #2, best of luck to you! I'm doing my own weight loss project right now, although mine started in mid-November.
I don't think "time pressure" has anything to do with what makes an RTS. Yes, it's a common theme/approach, but it's not necessary for it to be RTS. Europa Universalis fits the definition of "Real-time Strategy" far more than most RTS games do (most RTS are really real-time tactical), and you have the capability to pause in that game.
The game is also scaled down in size, though. You're controlling a smaller number of units than a typical RTS.
Wiiiiise fwom the gwaaaaaaave! So, looks like Entrenchment is coming out shortly. How much do I have to pay Annatar and Manshooter to update this thing once it goes live? :) Seriously though, there anything I can help with?
Wow wow wow, that stuff sounds amazing. I can't wait!!!!
Honestly, I can't see how the FTC can do much about this without either a Supreme Court ruling or federal legislation banning the licensing of software. As long as software companies (including Stardock, however differently they address DRM) can legally license software, they are free to put whatever limitations they feel like on that license. Even Stardock would be violating consumer rights right now if licenses didn't sidestep the first sa

Hi Agent, You sound like you're the same type of player as me, I was also frustrated with the lack of defensive measures or the ability to create chokepoints (although I still love the game). Entrenchment is right up my alley and it might be for you as well. Minefields, starbases, etc give a much stronger defensive presence. And yes, PJI's are now 700% slowdown, they can be quite effective. As Annatar pointed out, the beta is sti
Sins is only updated through 1.05 through Stardock Central. However, get Impulse and use it to replace SDC. You can get all the updates for GalCiv II from Impulse as well.

I hear you, but they can re-wrap the packages. Here's a true story. One day I go into a software store to purchase a game. I go and put in into my CDROM drive, but the dang disc is deformed and it won't read. I end up taking it back to the store and returning it, explaining that the media is defective. They give me a new copy. The next day, my friend goes to the store to pick up the game. We set up a LAN, he goes to inst
So they say, but someone already has your serial number registered to them. That leads to a few possibilities: 1. The planets aligned, dogs and cats got along, and the sky rained popsicles on the day some bloke randomly guessed a serial number correctly and registered his copy of Sins Or... 2.
