I've always gotten this problem unless I surrender within a short while of playing a game, hence I have not seen a single victory picture.

It's always been like this, I'm really not that surprised that it is like this considering that the new version is well...new compared to the old saved game version.

I usually ally with half of my system neighbors and beat up on everyone that way. Don't know about the second one. Giving resources does nothing to help your standing with another faction, unless doing so completes a resource mission.

I think he's trying to update the game disk (cd). If that's the case, you can't update the game disk, you update your hard drive. The Sins of a Solar Empire CD doesn't have any space on it, plus you would need a cd burner to even touch the cd in the first place.

MrPeebuddy, be civil, noone takes someone who posts like you seriously. You don't like reading his posts, then don't, noone is forcing you too. Anyways, as to the OP, I've always understood vasari to shine in the late game, but they struggle in the early game. RA should be powerful, but as inno said, if you know what your doing, TEC and Advent can counter RA with their own race specialties, you just need to learn how best to exploit them.
How about making the game 2v2 with teams locked so you always have an ally? Then if you can get friendly with one AI it's 3v1 in your favor. I haven't done this yet as I just got the game a few days ago. But its a thought.
But the teams are locked...
Options are great, especially in 4x games, and even better when they are applied to a game like Sins (pretty much alone in that regard but I digress).
This old thread from one of the beta's pretty much sums up my opinion on the above quote and perhaps gives you guys some insight into the problem with more options: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/158527 In regards to orbits, I remember an official response saying it took too much processing pow
i think it works fine..alt+click a flak, put them in another group.What I do is:group 6 = everything.group 1 = main offensegroup 2 = support1group 3 = support2group 4 = flakSeems to work as intended to me.
Yeah, that works for one fleet, and maybe even two fleets, but what about three or more (for those big maps)? My numeric keys don't go that high.

I love all the people who say "If you don't play the way I want you to, don't play online" like they have some kind of authority. You have no right whatsoever to tell others how to play this or any other game, or in what capacity they may or may not use the product they payed good money for. Only SD/IC has that right, and even then it's a gray area. If you don't like the way someone plays, don't play with them anymore. No one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to play with these peopl

He just want's a traditional C&C style superweapon that kills all, and is upset that sins superweapons aren't an IWIN button. You can have a weapon that hurts planets, that hurts ships and structures, or one that spreads culture(lol) but you can't have all three in one, or even two in one, it makes the game a race to get the superweapon instead of a game of strategy and tactics.

If he was vasari it might have been RA ships that were destroyed that gave him that number. If he was advent, it might have been mind controlled lrms that gave him that. Can't explain it if he was tec though.

This was supposed to have been fixed, but alot of people are still experiencing this. In the end it's mostly just the AI doesn't want to lose their fleet, although I've seen them stay and fight at their planets before.
No enemies left with planets owned. Maybe the TEC super weapon was on autocast and killed the last enemy planet without you noticing.
Wrong. As long as the enemy has a colony ship left and hasn't surrendered, they don't need planets to stay in the game last time I saw it happen, (which was before 1.3, but I think it was 1.2, can't quite remember).

15%, it's on the infocard for any ship in the affected gravwell, unless your talking abou the vasari, in which case it's on the culture tech infocards.

Yeah, I actually find that just setting a bunch of the deliverance engines on auto-fire = win if you can defend them long enough, whereas the TEC come close but the planets, after a while, can still be recolonized.
