The digital distrubution market is very competitive. There are always sales going on. Hell, look at Direct2Drive. Every single day until Sept 30 they put 2 different games on huge sale, and every week until then they also have a selection of games for $6 (this week, King's Bounty: Armored Princess down to $6 from $35). Weekend sales are very common on Impulse, Steam, D2D, Gamersgate. Even the proprietary stores like EA's online store, have deals. Over labor day, everything on EA's dig
It is largely irrelevant whether they are vocal or not, the issues still needs to be fixed. It would be naive to believe that the majority are happy about the state of the game, simply because they aren't vocal about it. You'd find that it would be more likely, that they simply move on from the game and don't bother looking back. That is bad for potential future customers.
Of course it needs to be fixed, but not to the exclusion of other promised stuff. People were prom

Balance and mechanics are important to fix, but everyone seems to be forgetting that there are a lot of people who don't really have strong opinions on the matter. All 90,000 people who bought the game so far aren't on the forums wanting stuff rebalanced. There are bound to be lots of them who don't mind the current state of the game, and just want to be able to play it with friends. MP needs to be turned on now and fixed up as needed along with the SP.

You can try using the online tool to merge registrations from the second account to your primary one, here: https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/ Alternatively, email [email protected] and explain the situation and they can transfer the registration themselves. :)

Apparently, we're shooting lasers into space now. Is it really just an attempt to get accurate measurements of stars' positions around the central black hole (yes), or are we frying some poor bug planet (no)? You be the judge! And within 4 years you're still using only 10% of that expensive PC's potential. Almost 2 years ago when I was getting my new PC I decided to grab two GTX 285s in SLI, figuring that'd make the PC last longer since before the rule of thumb was 2 years for a gaming PC before it needs an upgrade to keep up. To date, I have never needed to turn on SLI. Every single game (including Crysis) runs fine maxed on the single card. And with many more games going cross-platform, there will be fewe
The system is messed up if only because to hit and damage are the same stat. Higher attack does both better, and that's throwing it off. So the counter is to make the insane randomness where one time you might hit for 25 with that 35 attack weapon, and then next time...2 If weapons had their own damage and their own to-hit separated, that would solve a lot of the problem. You then limit your N (which would be damage) without messing with to-hit.
There is no "
Quoting Annatar11, reply 22 I don't have high hopes for FFXIV. BioWare indeed had better come through with The Old Republic. A lot more than just the game is riding on it, I think. If BioWare's Star Wars MMO fails, I really don't think we'll ever see another one attempted. The Old Republic and Guild Wars 2 are all I'm interested in. The MMO landscape has become supremely boring. &nb

Improving the combat system will require a rebalance of values no matter which way you slice it. It also takes longer than a rebalance of values. With the right changes, tweaking weapons/armor will make the current system less frustrating while they work on improving it (which I do hope they are).
Do you accept this mission? Kill 3 trolls and a bandit. Return to the Old library with them and get a scroll of knowledge (+300 experience and +1 intelligence)
The current quest system is fairly robust in terms of how quests can progress (multiple options leading to different endings), but it still depends exclusively on Tiles. A quest can't be made that has you go and hunt wandering monsters - there's no trigger to check for it. The only trigger that exists

I don't think this is likely. It would be nice, but the logistics just don't work out. First, it would require all the devs to either update the journal each time, or tell someone else (kryo?) each time they think they fixed something. Even with that, it's not until a couple days before a patch release when all the fixes get to go through QA, and some end up getting pulled (see shard damage fix for 1.07). There literally isn't a solid list of what's "fixed" until the patch cle
