The problem is that they'd have to re-write the entire fleet system to do it. It's not worth doing for the convenience of saving you an easy few clicks of the mouse.
Now, remember: this is an EA Game. After 30 days from launch, no more support will be given, and the development team will move full-scale onto their next title. This happened with DICE and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, despite promises to the contrary.
I just want to correct you on this one a bit.. Bad Company 2 was receiving patches well after the 30-day mark. These usually accompanied the free map pack (for PC) releases and brought weapon balancing, etc.</p
Thanks for the heads up. I like the style, but I like the Crysis "universe" if you will, much better than CoD (I do own Black Ops on PC). I guess I'll give it some time. :)
The 704s are way good :P The German T9 TD doesn't compare as well with it - 1 on 1 unless the Jagdtiger gets first shot and a big range advantage due to its faster firing/more accurate gun, the 704 wins. But German tanks look too good :P
SD have never said there won't be a Sins 2. And as far as IC's new game, what Kitkun/GoaFan posted is still the only thing we know about it, they've been very hush-hush.
of course they cant add what everyone wants, but that's not what was suggested. Making carriers wait at the edge of a grav well would be a great example of universal satisfication for most players.
Which is easy enough to do on your own and there's no real need for them to monkey around with doing it. They'd need to make some kind of toggle for it, because many people would probably also prefer to keep them together
I'm actually not sure when Ironclad started
I believe they started in 2004 :P
Frankly, I think Crysis 2 is awesome. They just need to fix the damn multiplayer.
What specifically do you mean by fixing multiplayer? I don't have the game yet, but MP is a pretty big part of deciding whether or not I buy an FPS, if it's borked somehow I'd rather wait for a bit.
I don't think you can say that this is an improvement until it actually becomes one. Just because GS has the resources doesn't necessarily mean they will use them to make PC gaming better. At best, I expect it to stay about the same :P
The main problem with why this mechanic is limited to a couple things is because it takes a lot of memory, since the game has to load all the different meshes for each entity that changes appearance. Trying to do it for every ship would use too much memory.
The problem with trying to monkey around with fleet formations/settings is that everyone wants something different. They can't add everything that people might want, so they provide a basic formation and the player gets to do the rest.
Why is the Diplomacy owner preorder online-only? I like games that come in physical boxes compared to an Impulse library game. I like wallowing in my large collection of CDs and game cases, just kidding. However, I prefer to have a physical copy of the game, so would there be a way to receive the $10 discount and get a CD in the mail?
Because they're not yet sure if they'll do a boxed version. It's only tentative at this po
Quoting Annatar11, reply 59If Impulse had to be sold for financial reasons fine, necessary evil. But honestly trying to spin it as if it's some great boon to the PC gamer community is more of a slap in the face. The transaction hasn't actually been completed yet. If it was done for financial reasons, would you REALLY expect Brad to come out and say "yeah we had to sell it for the cash to pay for the FE team and those evil Ga
I doubt you'd be able to get a refund on everything you have (believe me, I'm in the same boat as you :P), but you can email and have them cancel your Rebellion preorder if you wish.
... And you chose a company that spits on PC gaming and whose whole business model depends on reselling used games that screws over publishers? :P The irony is overwhelming.
Sorry, but, I don't see how this is in any way, shape, or form "good for PC gamers". People supported Impulse because they thought SD is an honest company with high standards and principles. Gamestop is none of these things. It's like getting a crook (Gamestop) to try and keep an already pretty straight guy (Steam) straight? It makes no sense. And now, SD is really none of these things either. If Impulse had to be sold for financial reasons fine, necessary evil. But ho
I don't see how this is hard to understand: IC does not want pirates having big ships. It doesn't matter if they use CAPITAL armor type, or if they have levels, or what they're called. It doesn't matter how long it takes to make and what assets they can reuse. As a concept, THEY DO NOT WANT IT.
It's still a capital ship, even if it's unique.. it's the idea that got shot down, not any specific implementation.
Pirates using capital ships has been repeatedly vetoed - it's basically been suggested for every expansion and they always say no.
No. Repeatedly stated as not happening.
Then by all means show me an honest useful incorporation for something like Incendiary Shells.
6 damage per second per stack, so 18 damage per second with 3 stacks (as of 1.2), for 15 seconds gives 270 damage unmitigated by shields to each of the Marza's 3 targets (one for each bank).. Even at level 1, this ability adds 9 sustained DPS per target, which is a pretty considerable boost to a level 1 Marza. It is certainly not a bad investment of a skill
Just go to create a custom game, they are all in there. There's a search box if you know the name, otherwise there's a filter (Blizzard-only, Popular, etc).
Just because one player finds something "useless" for their playstyle, doesn't mean others do. Keep that in mind when you throw around comments that something is useless/nobody uses it.
It involves a lot of alcohol, a dartboard, and 911 calls. A duck and a goat may or may not be involved, as well.
If this is the case, perhaps we could petition the devs to have some of these resource rocks look like a "proper", spherical moon?
Spherical moons aren't necessarily "proper". A lot of Jupiter's moons are just asteroids that got trapped by gravity and smashed to bits in collisions with other objects. Given that we can barely detect planets that are smaller than gas giants, we really can't say for sure what kind of moons are normal. But, given that J
