My ally's planet was taken by the enemy. My ally had several structures in this GW. I went in and killed the enemy and cleansed the planet. I went ahead and took the planet. But his (my ally's) structures remained. Due to these structures, I was unable to build due to unavailable slots. I could not scuttle the previous occupent's structures nor destroy them because they were "friendly" structures. What was I doing wrong??

[quote who="TheRezonator" reply="24" id="2273681"]that happened to me a few times, once i had set up a massive synchronised assault, and after a while, one of the fleets hadnt moved... i couldnt figure out why, so i zoomed in and the fleet wasnt there... i couldnt figure out what was wrong, anyway, i eventually figured it out i told them to fly back to the planet... but it was taking WAY too long, so i had a thought, luckily they had left the GW heading towards another planet with

[quote who="EviliroN" reply="21" id="2196677"]OH! OH! I know! stop the damn ships from leaving the grav well, including strike craft. sometimes it takes them more than 10 minutes to come back, i just want to bomb the planet! easy solution: just pretend that the "6000" represents the politicians, then you'd be doing that planet a favor by getting rid of them. 2nd solution, just wait for those 6000 politicians to bribe you with 1 trillion $$'s for no dam good reason. oops, too close to home.

I have to admit, I play Advent not so much because of their technology . . . . but because I find the female voices hot. While I know that some of these voices came from in-house with some ovbious electronic alterations, how could anyone look some of these female co-workers in the face without blushing?? I am not ashamed to admit it: advent female voices = seeeexxxxxyyyy.

I more or less agree with Agent, and I rather like the idea that you can salvage mines with at least a small chance that some can go off . . . presumably something this sweeper would be designed to absorb.

^^ I could not clearly tell from the vid, but were you giving any sort of orders in terms of what to attack? Or did you just let the AI fight for you? Also, sometimes retreat is a viable option esp. when the fleet that caused the retreat seperates itself and leaves a smaller one to "occupy" the grav well esp. if there are other threats to its system from, say and hopefully, an ally. If even a portion of their fleet leaves you can usually pop back in and destroy their s

I think if the numbers are against you, your best bet MIGHT be to destroy the support ships of the enemy. I don't know the TEC and vasari support ships by heart, but while they seem like a low priority target they may prove to be quite valuable to the enemy and capable of turning the tide in your favor should they be destroyed. The next target is a little more difficult. why? And carriers tend to have VERY high shields and even with concentrated bombers attacking them

I disagree that biggest fleet wins. I only play avdent, but Iconus gaudians mixed with disciples and at least one of every cap ship can outlast a much bigger fleet. Throw some drone hosts and Deadras . . . . late game with your caps leveling up automatically?!!!

blasting and criticizing are all relative terms. I have made my constructive criticisms elsewhere in this forum. I can be whiny or whitty with impunity. It is ridiculous to ridicule anyone for voicing their concerns in whatever way they deem necessary*. Right now as it is, mines suck ASS. There's whiny and whitty for you all in one. Solution: take them out! There's constructive criticism. * I am the paying consumer and the inten

Another thing about mines I was thinking about lastnight, the Z-axis. Can I go over or under them? Doesn't seem like you can in 2-D, but this is a 3-D game, though I seldom play that way.

I did say "On the road to . . . " There is always the chance that things can improve drastically. I took part in the Sins beta too. From the get-go, that one was a blast to play even as beta!! Just saying. Try not to be sucn fanboys, nor killers of desention. This forum is titled "Beta Feedback." I see no where where it implies I must tow the company line. Oh, and I am allowed to make witty remarks from time to time too. Sorry that I ven

"creative" idea for mines? kinda implies all of the other hundreds of ideas for them are contrite. I would like to see mines be destroyed, but rather than get money or resources for them, they can slowly give me my $9.99 back for Entrenchment. It is on the road to being "worst expansion of 2009." Kinda sad after all of the awards the game recently won.

laying mines SHOULD come at an expense. It's a gamble. However, clearing them should not cost. If I can research a tech to clear their mines, then they will just have to rethink their strategy because by that time, laying mines will actually be LOSING money for them.
