Sorry, seems like that code function doesn't work properly :NOTSURE: maxSupply 220 is the line.
psugar
You need to modify the
maxSupply 220
to increase the strength. The "raid composition" section just determines how the raids are balanced (how many of which types). The artifact spawn frequency is in the map files.
So far as I know there isn't a galaxy forge installer. You have to unzip all the files into a folder. Try and unzip it again, and make sure the icons folder is extracted too.
mafutnyoas: The game doesn't natively support surround or quad. You should be able to get these effects by using the controls on your sound card.
Bailknight - my apologies... you are correct. 1.04 does not allow infinite effects, but 1.1 will. More information on some of the other requests: .) A particle effect editing GUI should be released soon. .) If you are modding, you should definitely have the user settings for LogOutput and ShowErrors set to TRUE - this should provide you with more error details and less minidumps. We're planning to release a special build of the game for modders which will make it much eas
Nope, V and B should work generally (there isn't really a "battle mode"). You can remap to + and - if you prefer.
Hi Joseph, Have a look at this thread, some of these things may help you: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/308439
Did you somehow extract the exe for galaxy forge into a directory and not extract the icons subdirectory as well?
Bailknight, it's possible that this may have been the case in 1.02, I'm fairly certain it has been changed by 1.04 though. Thanks all for the responses. We're discussing internally what can be done to give you more creative control over some of the elements that you've mentioned.
What OS are you running and what version of DirectX do you have installed?
As a follow up to Manshooter's comments: The number of allowed explosion entries should be infinite, unless I misunderstand you. Some of the others (number of points on a ship, etc) were intentionally constrained as I said above.
Hey all, We have not forgotten about you :) To clear things up a bit: at this point the community has access to pretty much all the tools the developers have - we're not holding anything back out of spite! Also, in certain situations you will come across hard-coded limits which may not make sense to you. Some of them may be limitations resulting from the engine design, but more often they are there to control the amount of memory usage and dynamic memory allocation - to keep
OpenGL won't help you much as the game runs on DirectX. Is there any way for you to disable two of those cards and see if it still happens? It may be a quirk of the triple-video card system.
The stuttering audio likely has nothing to do with the crash - it's a common occurrence when your machine crashes that the audio buffers loop. Do you have the latest drivers for your pile of video cards?
Are you getting a minidump, or a bluescreen, or is the machine restarting or what exactly is happening?
Is this from the very start, or after getting a few planets?
Please send any minidumps to . More than likely what you are experiencing are the multiplayer desyncs.
If you folks see this again, could you make a save game of it and send it to along with the name of the planet that you couldn't scroll to? Thanks
Sweeeeet... Malice is being rebalanced ;)
Hey Gus, I have no idea if this would work, but it sounds like you are getting nailed by the 2 AI's because you have set yourself up as the strongest player by killing the first AI. It might be worth trying to hold off on that until the AIs have gotten a bit of a hate-on for each other... then start the heavy hitting. Cheers
You have to place them in your Galaxy directory, where the game is installed - it's under program files somewhere usually.
Looking at this now... curious if it is the same problem with Malice or not.
Hi PTTG, It looks like your directory is wrong. Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\ XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\
Damn. Can you send in a dxdiag to with a link to this thread? I'll have a look through and see if there's anything that jumps out. BTW, another cause of this problem (although pretty rare) is having problematic drivers for some USB devices, so as a test you could try unplugging any non-essential peripherals. Just out of curiousity, what other games are you running that don't have problems?
