He means the Crusader Heavy Cruiser.

Oh no, all volcano planets have metal asteroids, but the Vasari have a lot of volcanic planet research they can do to maximize income from them.
What tips would you give to a beginning Vasari player?
You want volcanic planets (and you'll need them, because trade ports don't come until tier 5). They have research to reduce pirate attacks very early on, so conserve your cred and let them come to you. Use your navigators to find asteroid belts/gas giants and colonize the mining bases on them. They're not a very big culture-producer, their research tech goes towards reducing cultural enroachment.<
Lets just break the whole game while we're at it with dumb fan-submitted suggestions. Megaships, Dreadnoughts, even just a nice little I WIN button you can punch when you're tired of playing. I should really get into multiplayer and wipe the floor with all you little whiners because the AI just isn't challenging me and since you all seem to have trouble even playing a 1v1 game I assume I'd just give you a humiliating loss that would compel you to uninstall the game in shame. <b
Fortification AI tends to be more aggressive, I've felt, at least in siege frigate blitzes. Aggression AI tends to really withdraw. A lot.
I've noticed that the AI likes to rely on siege frigate and cobalt/skirmisher/disciple spam for quite awhile, we're talking by the time I have carrier cruisers and several capital ships.
No it's not.
Nothing too fancy, I suppose. I'm thinking a spiral outwards from Sol in the order of Volcanic, Gas, Terran, Desert, Asteroid Belt, Gas, Gas, Gas, Ice, Ice, Pirate. I'll put a Asteroid here or there for Luna or Io... by the way, what's the difference between Desert and Desert Home? Population and expansion slots? And how do you add rings (for Saturn)? And are there different Gas Giant colours? Anyway, I mostly made this topic to ask questions and get suggestions. Such as: how sho
Rouge AI is my guess, and why are the vasari all so old and have soar throats?
Never watched the Dark Crystal? Jim Henson set it in stone: All evil empires are run by old men with bent backs and sound like they've been smoking cigarettes every day for 50 years.
I disapprove of phasing tag (sticks tongue out).
You DO realize that while you're sitting there pouting about why you can't just punch an I WIN button to blow up his capital ship, he has some colonies you could be razing to the ground right? When I get tired of chasing siege frigates around I go nuke his homeworld while he's wasting his time dropping bombs on my worthless asteroids.
Use the Jikara Navigator.
I don't really see a reason to make a capital immune to culture. If the enemy is getting culture into your capital, you have other problems anyways.
Try playing Point Blank, then. Go on, I'll wait. You won't be so condescending when you've captured every single planet except his capital and you're out of logistic slots for a broadcaster.
I wouldn't call the Advent hippies. They're more like a collective people on a divine mission, you know, the kind where it's wise to just get out of their way? Anyways, to answer the query: To show off the TEC's bourgeoise-ness: The TEC get trade ports at tier 2. For contrast the Vasari get trade ports at tier 4 or 5. They also get more resource-collection and trade upgrades (in fact, their tier-8 economic research basically takes a bite out of any purchase any player on the
Sounds great, mod it and get back to us.
The T.E.C. is simpler if only because they speak your language. Some of the structures/research of the Advent and Vasari are wrapped up in esoteric language that makes trying to figure out what is what a lot more difficult. Their research is arranged fairly linearly, E.G. economic upgrades go in the industrial section, the "MOAR DAKKA" upgrades are in the ballistics/weapons/whatever section.
Why not make superweapons only deployable on border worlds.
That's just silly. You're trying to come up with an increasingly complex solution to a simple problem because your original proposal breaks more stuff than it would fix.
Yeah, if it's a custom map it's probably ba-roque. Especially since you punched the preview button.
It's also a prerequisite for Insurgency, one of the best TEC research options in the end-game. They really need to make your capital planet immune from cultural subversion, however. -Tom
I cannot believe that your decision to buy or not buy is dependent on the ability to name one of your ships "Asskicker II" (to quote you)!
Are you kidding me? Ship/colony/faction personalization is one of the best parts of the game. I have three different naming conventions for each faction already.
Do some more exploration. There's some phase lines there you haven't charted, he's probably hiding there.
Try a smaller map?
I hate Dear Santa letters.
I build a colony frigate to go straight for the capturable asteroid belt mining stations. The pirates ignore them, the AI doesn't seem to make a big effort to capture them, and they don't have upkeep maintenance like asteroid colonies before you upgrade. The asteroid belts also only rarely have local pirates.
Make it a 500% increase then?
