Not yet, unfortunately. I would love it, though, if only because I'm a name freak.

Maybe a couple of extra tiers of fleet logistics?
Actually, it sounds like they need to fix the AI which seems to prioritize withdrawing over defending its capital. Look, I'm sure you feel screwed out of your legitimate epic end-battle and cinema but lets not break the game because of a simple AI glitch. Phase jumping is a core component of the game. If you want it changed, you should probably go play Universe at War Earth Assault or some other idiotic RTT.
Culture + Deliverance Engine = 85% shield mitigation
You know, the problem with Kerberos and SOTS was they were too closed to criticism and would mistreat anyone who stopped by with suggestions or didn't like the game (culminating in their e-feud with Tom Chick at QT3) The problem here seems to be the opposite, a patch-based method of copy protection seems to invite people who want you to give them handouts. I've seen more elegant discourse in a World of Warcraft class forum. Take the money and run, Blair. :CONGRAT:
Advent get a end-game research that boosts allegiance by about 10%
All stars are interlinked, they don't link linearly.
75% of a multi-star empire scales pretty well. I think if you're in a single-system game you should probably stop at tier 5 or so but definitely go all the way if you're in one of the huge maps.
I usually have a capital ship with colonize in my fleets, so i never really build colony ships
What about the asteroid belts?
The problem I find with FFA is that if you don't jump through their hoops...I mean missions, then it will quickly become a 7 versus 1. At least in the ones I've played so far. So if I play FFA I lock teams so it's a real free for all.
This reminds me of a big problem with Superpowers/Superpowers 2. The games were so long that if the host ever got knocked out, the game was basically over. (Like hell they'd just sit there and spectate for however long it went) I'm sure that Ironclad will address it in a future patch if the game ends on host-quit.
Let us know how you like it.
The way Stardock games pirate-proof themselves is making it so that you need an authentic key to patch. The retail versions are actually the ones who are a bit inconvenienced, because as far as I know you can't get patches outside of Stardock's client so if you don't have an internet connection you are completely boned. Short answer: Stardock is not Direct2Drive.
If the pause button isn't working for you, ESC (F10 with v1.02) will bring up the options/load/save menu, which is a defacto pause.
He said he has a Novalith Cannon, which makes me wonder since a Novalith should be making the AI beg for mercy resource-wise. And that he's pretty far up the Military tree. What map are you playing on?
3) As far as I can tell "control" or "faction" or "influence"... whatever it scalled between the different races... Is also useless... I actually built 4 planets with MAXED influence buildings and research... ALL the lines between systems were my color... Yet nothing happened... It just doesn't seem useful to waste resources and time on it.
That's because you don't know what it does.
Look at Warcraft III...
Haha. No,
I would think that the formula is x- y - z% = a x = attack power y = armor z = shield mitigation a = damage The attack power on things like frigates are so low I can't think of armor as subtracting anything except its value.
4X games don't have storylines. You make one up in your head. There's a reason you can rename all the important locations and ships in the game. Christ, you make me feel old saying this but using your brain isn't a freaking dead concept in the 21st century. Besides, have you seen GalCiv II's campaign? They don't translate well. All it would consist of is a wall of text followed by a small 1v1 map, repeat 20 times.
Looks fine to me.
It's not new. I agree it's pretty obnoxious and that it should probably default to capital ships if they're included in the formation.
Alternate victory conditions for "Sink the capital ship" would be kind of nifty. But forget all that other noise about super-charged uber omega super star destroyers that can kill a planet just by turning in its direction.
Radiance Battleship: Animosity - Makes all enemy ships attack the Radiance only and ignore all other friendly ships.
Why use Animosity when you can use that incredibly awesome level 6 main-beam cannon ability and blow away all the frigates between you and the capital ship you targeted?
Phase inhibitors will slow down the scout's ability to jump.
Not in late-game. And yeah, they're incredibly irritating, especially because the UI gives you false alarms when they're jumping around your planets, but don't even pay them any mind. T
How are you using them? Are you ordering all your ships to head to the center of the gravity well? If you order your ships to jump to a planet and then give the group attack orders (not move) then the carriers will hang out at the edge of the gravity well just fine even while grouped.
If you're not moving your fleet around the gravity well, you're not using it correctly.
I go 3 parts bombers, 1 part fighters. Mind you, this is as the Advent (who get 3 squadrons per hangar + additional fighters per squadron). And fighters are good at killing anything other than other strike craft? Huh?
