Also how do the graphics compare to previous space RTSes like homeworld 2, hegemonia, nexus, ect? I noticed in some screens it looks really nice but in some other screens it just looks like homeworld 2...
I would say it has more in common with Nexus than anything else. All the models have unique styles respective of their factions, tracer fire comes out of the turrets, missiles come out of the launch bays, etc. The only thing that seems a bit canned is the fig

Yes, and they leave behind floating debris. They explosions don't connect real well (the model just disappears rather than breaking apart), but I like 'em myself.
We have lots of ideas. But the key thing to remember, we want to get 1.03 out this month if possible. So sure, we can all imagine things like random events or fancier diplomacy or other things of that nature but those would take far too long to get into the game.
Before you post, make sure your suggestion can pass this test please?
Tell me how well it works.
I wouldn't say that. It only came out a week ago. I can tell you that the idea you proposed used to be in beta and was removed because of issues balancing them against superweapons.
Proposed, debated into the ground, look around for one of the many topics on this subject.
AI doesnt seem to deal with the metal/crystal extractors in asteroid belts and the such (off the top of my head I dont think I have seen them take one). When I capture them, they simply ignore the fact that they are there. I had some in there territory and could see the fleets moving about, however they never did capture them.
I've seen it happen once, on a single extractor, in a 1v1 map. But they sure don't pay them any mind. Jikara Navigators jumping in and out of an
Maybe a good way to balance out having increased jump time vs defenses could be to keep their current cap, but give them a stacking bonus to jump time. So you could have more PJI's at the cost of less actual defenses in a system.
It doesn't already? I thought it did!
Triple phase inhibitor's jump delay time and have i effect the entire grav well in addition to Kade's above post.
250% times 3 times (1x) where x is the number of inhibitors? That would be a maximum of over 26250% jump time. Plus gravity well wide coverage?
Were you talking to me?
I don't remember reading that. I remember that their beacons keep being silenced and this compels them to continue to run faster and faster.
Stretching out the supply cap might placate people who feel that defense is too weak. Or a reduction in the amount of tactical slots a phase jump inhibitor requires, so you can more easily stack it.
Worked fine for me, sounds like you were still building a needed lab OR one of your labs had activated its phase shield.
Thank you, I just realized this. I don't think it accurately shows on the infocard if your labs are inactive.
Times only an idea, or a measurement if you will. It doesn't really exist beyond being man-made.
Einstein's theory of general and special relativity disagrees. And I don't know what they're running from, but it creeps me out.
And then when you run out of space on your grav-well to put defenses because your grasp of strategy extends only to "PAINT SHIPS RED, MORE DAKKA" you'll start wanting Ironclad to make grav wells bigger.
i used to play it but i got bored 1st you would have to talk to ccp about it if you were going to pull their models out a mod for homeworld was alowed to do that i think but under very strict conditions (one being it cant be released in any form till they had looked at it and where satisfied)
It's called "fai
7-1 is kind of an oversimplification. Generally it's more like 3-2-2-1, but the net effect is pretty much the same.
I didn't see them shooting at each other when they stomped me out of Gateway. And then when they jumped into Xi I saw five fleets all floating there, not paying any attention to each other at a
2) There is no auto retreat function. Since one of the neccessities of a game of this magnitude is the limitation of micro-management, an auto retreat feature for fleets and important ships within a fleet would be nice so that I wouldn't have to watch battles involving my high level cap ships like a hawk to make sure that my lvl 10 flagship doesn't get raped during a battle.
I don't think an AI is smart enough to make that call.
that's the thing, I play unlocked teams because that seems more real. But . . . don't know.
It goes 7-1 real fast. If you can hold that off you're a better man than I, gungadeen.
Personally, I would rather have more effective defences that do more damage rather than simply “stall for time”. We don’t build defences for that reason alone in reality; they are also designed to HURT the enemy as well.
How much attention are you giving to your defenses? I can tie up an attacking fleet for quite awhile if I monitor the status of them and replace losses quickly. Construction frigates hastily building gauss turrets/missile batteries/Laser Platf
Ironclad developer #1: Dude, check this out. I adjusted the placement code so that it totally just RAPES real players as soon as they get into the huge random map. Haha, what chumps. Ironclad developer #2: Genius. I can't believe everybody loves us for conning them into buying a 50$ product that we actually designed to make them miserable. Hey, want to go roll around in the huge piles of money we, the bourgeoisie, are exploiting from the proletariat? Ironclad developer #1: As
I'm afraid I don't understand the point of your post. So are you saying because you "don't have this problem" then the rest of us complaining are "histrionic"?

The result... it's FUBAR.
